My wife & I worked at the same pharmacy after H/S. We each had a significant other but all hung out as a group but went separate directions as we all got real jobs.

Roughly 10 years later we bumped into each other @ Northeastern University, finishing our degrees @ night while working full time. The rest as they say.... ... Here we are, 20 years together, married 15.

The 'boss' is from Manila, so most people assume I was in the service, or just got her from a catalog (which I once convinced a guy at a bar I did... But that's a different thread...).

Did you ever drag the gut on Willamette Street in Eugene ?

Never spent much time in Eugene...spent a lot of time in Astoria and Seaside even though lived in valley. Just loved all the different fishing opportunities.

Met my girlfriend in jr. high school.  Had no idea then that 30 years later she'd be my best friend.

I met my wife in college taking the same psychology course and recognized her as living in the same building that I did. It was a no brainer to walk her back to the dorm & I asked her out. We got married 18 months later in 1970.

Well I hired my wife to be away from the competition. Once she accepted I asked her out to dinner to celebrate and we have been together ever since! Went to the Pres. of the company, at the time, and told him about our relationship (so he would not hear it elsewhere). Four years later the parent company went into bankruptcy, we bought out the secured assets and inventory from the bank and started our own. That endured for 25 years and now we are retired and enjoying it big time.....BTW....I had always imagined a California girl (Beach Boys inspired) in my life, well dreams really do come true!! :-)

I had just turned 16 & she was 17. She was very shy and a friend of mine kept striking out on getting her to go out with him so I bet him that I could get a date with her which I did.

We've been married for 35 years, have 5 daughters and as of saturday 2 grandsons.

I hadn't talked to My friend in probably 25 years & e-mailed him last year.

I told him I figure with interest that he owes me roughly $1 million.

He said that he might consider paying in Pesos!

My college roommate was engaged to her roommate. They set us up on a blind date. It took me several months to convince her she was the one for me and to dump the other guy she was dating. That was 37 years ago.

I'm going to be married 40 years soon.

I met my lovely wife when her brother my best friend asked me if I wanted to go out with his sister. At the time I figured a few dates. I just got a steady job, a new truck and fishing gear. My life was just starting to get in order. Then I met the one. We started out with the clothes on our back. We didn't have much but we had love what ever that is. We did hit it off. After 40 years, three kids six cats and a dog I think we did ok. It's been fun. We really never argued. We just get talking and understanding each others needs. Bill

Blind date.  My persistent step-sister wore us down until we gave in.  Glad we did!

I met her at my neighborhood bar. She came in with some guy. He went to the jon and I started talking to her. He came out of the jon and had a jealous fit and yelled at her for talking to me. I stood up and told him he shouldn't treat women like that and to get the F out of my bar before I drag him out. She left with him A week later on the day my divorce was finalized, my buddies threw me a divorce party at the bar. She was there with some friends. I had made a goal to get 10 phone #'s that night. I got 7. Hers was one of them. That was 18 years ago.

She made me breakfast every morning at the gas station I stopped in on the way to work. I had a crush on her but was to shy to tell her. She ended up rescuing me from a disaster date one night and let me sleep on her couch because I was to intoxicated to drive home. The next morning we went out for breakfast and I confessed that I had a huge crush on her. That was 5 years ago. We have been together ever since, married for 1 year so far with 2 beautiful girls.

She was in college and worked part time at a CVS drug store.  She worked with a girl at the CVS. (remember this part as we fast forward a bit)

I was in the USAF and worked part time as security at an "alternative lifestyle" bar in SW DC.  One night there was a big fight outside (remember this is SW DC)  I was running outside to "partake" and this pretty girl steps in front of me,  weapon drawn.  I slowed down and explained that I worked here.  She asked me to go back inside,  which I of course, did.

Six months later on a slow weeknight,  this same girl comes in and sits at the bar and we stare at each other that "don't I know you stare"  We realized where we had met.  She apologized for pointing a gun at me.  She used to be a bar tender at the same bar.  We laughed.  She invited me to her birthday party at a ranch, she said there'd be single girls there.   I took a liking to a certain girl she had invited to the party to actually meet someone else.  He didn't fare so well.  We left together that night and it has been 29 years since.  The girl she worked with at CVS became a cop and is the one that drew her weapon on me at the bar.  Ah,  good times...

The girl I was dating at the time, and the guy she was dating at the time needed subs for the softball team they played on and we met at their game, then played on the team. She played first; I played Short and third. I used to airmail balls just so I could watch her touché run after them. Our respective relationships didn't last and one night, we end up sitting at the same bar table with one of the louder females on the team. The loud chick gets up and I say something to the effect of "wow, she never takes a breath", apparently endearing myself to my future wife. We started dating and no we're 7 years and a beautiful 4 year old in.

Met mine at a party , I was celebrating joining a new band and we had our first practice together , a few people came to listen and she arrived late , the band was on the last song for the night and as we finished our set , she requested a song , to which the band replied that we were finished and apologized , so I grabbed my acoustic and sat down and played her the song , oddly enough , that was 27 years ago today .

Met my sweetheart of fourty plus years dragging the gut in Seaside, Oregon. She lived in Brightwood and I lived in Hillsboro. Took an hour to get to her place for a date but was worth it. Two awesome kids and she lets me fish.

'splain dragging the gut.  Were you trolling or were you in drag?  Enquiring minds want to know.  Been around a while, but that is a new expression to me.
