So How Did You Meet Your Significant Other?

Since many of us here have a special someone, be it a wife or girlfriend, how'd you meet? 

 

I met my wife through my sister.  I needed a good accountant.  Found that and a great wife.

 I meet my wife at the top of a Light house - the same place I asked her to marry me . . . .

 

If she had said no . . .  I was going to jump.

5 years old in junior kindergarten! lost touch in high school and then reconnected about 5 years ago. Every day since has been a blessing.

I used to be a traveling race car driver.  We were from the same town ( Memphis) but I was racing 3.5hrs away from home.  She was attending her very first race ever, and came with another driver's daughter( from Memphis).  I had seen her walking around the pits, but was too busy at the moment, but towards then end of the night, when we were loading trailers, she sent her friends little brother over to me and asked if she could give me her number.  I said, " Who, that hot little Asian over there, Hell yeah!"  We talked on the phone almost the entire drive home and she came to the race shop the next day to help wash cars and start getting ready for the next week.  Have been together ever since.  That was over 7 years ago, and we have been married for almost 3!

My best friend growing up had a family vacation cabin in LaPine Oregon. I met DD there when I was thirteen years

old. We actually began to date when I was sixteen. We have been married for almost 41 years. Some of you know our

recent story. She's doing well, far better than I could have ever hoped for. Prayer works.

I was teaching fire fighting classes and she was one of my students. Best thing that ever happened to me. Been together almost 20 years now.

Spanish class, first semester freshman year of college. We've been together a little over 7 years now. Got married this past June and bought our first house at the end of December.

I met her at my neighborhood bar. She came in with some guy. He went to the jon and I started talking to her. He came out of the jon and had a jealous fit and  yelled at her for talking to me. I stood up and told him he shouldn't treat women like that and to get the F out of my bar before I drag him out. She left with him A week later on the day my divorce was finalized, my buddies threw me a divorce party at the bar. She was there with some friends. I had made a goal to get 10 phone #'s that night. I got 7. Hers was one of them. That was 18 years ago.

Met my wife playing indoor soccer. She would kick me in the shins. She's still awesome 20 years later, and we have 3 of our 4 sons playing travel soccer in our footsteps, LOL.

In short, my wife's sister worked for me 20 years ago.  She introduced us.  Sold the business, gained a woman that's perfect for me.  Been together 18 years now.  She always has and does push me to further my fishing, but pipedreams are what they are.  When you have kids, gotta do what's right for the family first.  I thank God for her, my angel.

Online personals.  She found my ad, sent me a message, and I pretty much knew the second we met in person that I'd marry her.  That was 7 1/2 years ago, been married for almost 6 years.

In detention my senior year. Lol. She actually had detention. I was there making up a few tests because I missed time from school after tearing my ACL. I saw her sitting at a table by herself when I went in and sat with her... 14 years later we are still together.

eHarmony.  We've been married almost 8 years now.  Turned out she's was a bigger fishing nut than me.  Our honeymoon and every vacation since has included a bass boat.  Neil really does know what he is doing.

We both worked at the same store. So did my first wife. We divorced before I got together with my wife now (the first one was a cheater). A year later I was married to my wife now, and we're now in our 13th year.
