Super User Jar11591 Posted March 22, 2014 Super User Posted March 22, 2014 Keep dreaming. Anyone see the line drive Sal hit off of Chapman the other day? Scary stuff!!!!! Â Â Yes very scary. They are saying he might have mild brain damage because of it. I guess the Red's are holding him out at least until after the All-Star break. Quote
Super User MCS Posted March 26, 2014 Super User Posted March 26, 2014 Had my winners league draft, more typical of what I usually end up with. At C got lucroy and Norris with this being roto and lucroy 1b elligable Norris maybe a sleeper I can afford 1b trumbo and belt 2b cano and Phillips 3b seager, headley SS segura Of jones, Myers, Jackson, Cruz Sp price, Zimmerman, shields, wheeler, peavy, griffin, and lohse Rp Ziegler, willhelmsmen, putz Weak in saves and possibly SBs but hope headley does a 20/20 or 30/30 and Jackson takes more swipes. Norris might help. Got a few of the brew crew it just worked out, had lucroy two seasons ago and lohse was nasty last yr. Picked up j roll off waivers before the transaction posted to my roster made a trade for Greg holland gave them segura. Got one DL spot gonna pick up Iglesias as a little insurance later on. Quote
Super User MCS Posted March 31, 2014 Super User Posted March 31, 2014 Going to be a very interesting season. I only have one wish as I do every year to watch the Yankees fail. 1 Quote

Super User MCS Posted March 31, 2014 Super User Posted March 31, 2014 And j-roll decides to hit his 200th homer in style.....GRAND SALAMI!! I picked him off waivers and traded segura for a closer! He will PRODUCE this year and Sandberg can stick it I don't like him or amaro get rid of both them bums Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted April 1, 2014 Super User Posted April 1, 2014 I like Sandberg.....Amaro on the other hand has managed to make this once powerful team into a bunch of has beens. Â I was very impressed with the patience the phillies showed at the plate today.....way different mindset than when free-swinging Charlie was at the helm. Quote

Good point but Sandberg is a cub and sorta just don't like him cuz of that. If he was a different name or team then I would probably welcome with open arms, might take me a little and a World Series Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted April 1, 2014 Super User Posted April 1, 2014 I figured it had to be personal as you are pretty even keeled in most things And remember, the phillies traded him in one of if not the worst trade ever...giving up Larry bowa and Sandberg for Ivan dejesus.....what could have been lol Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted April 1, 2014 Super User Posted April 1, 2014 I like Larry too but throwing in a future hall of famer still gives me nightmares.....all Philly sports have a knack for the dramatic in every possible way. Quote
NEjitterbugger Posted April 1, 2014 Posted April 1, 2014 I'm clinging onto the World Champs tag, at least until this October.   Most definitely Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted April 1, 2014 Super User Posted April 1, 2014 If the Rays are gonna do it, they better do it this year, because you know Price won't be back next year. 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted April 10, 2014 Super User Posted April 10, 2014 Josh Hamilton out 6-8 weeks...and he was finally doing good. And a heads up to anyone with Jim Johnson on their fantasy team: He is OUT as the closer for Oakland. 2 Quote

Super User Jar11591 Posted April 11, 2014 Super User Posted April 11, 2014 Who's in? I got cook please tell me it is him I guess they're doing "closer by committee" so they are going to have a couple guys closing until Johnson gets back on track. Cook is one of them. Quote
Super User MCS Posted April 11, 2014 Super User Posted April 11, 2014 Well at least I will snag a few. Quote
VolFan Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 How y'all feel about the replay? It seems like every close play tonight Fredo Gonzalez runs out on The field and then waits for the clubhouse to tell him to review or not. They have to put a time limit on these things. Quote

Dude I hate all this replay crap. It just doesn't feel like baseball. Like you said, any close play now managers argue immediately then wait for word from the clubhouse. IMO the only time a play should be reviewed is if it's questionable whether a home run was fair or foul. I cannot stand this replay stuff. They're trying to change baseball and I hate it. It's NOT football! 1 Quote
Super User Jar11591 Posted April 20, 2014 Super User Posted April 20, 2014 What are some division/wildcard predictions? Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted April 21, 2014 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted April 21, 2014 What are some division/wildcard predictions? Â American league east is a dart and blindfold choice. Â Probably going to get a wildcard out of there also. Â Detroit and Oakland run away with the central and west with Texas probably the other wildcard. Quote

I don't think the Brewers are going to stick around, I think they're just off to a good start. I think the Cards and Dodgers take the Central and West and I'm really hoping the Braves can take the east again. I don't think Washington really added the pieces they needed to run away with the division, and they are 7-20 against the Braves dating back to last year. As far as the AL East, I agree it's anyone's guess. Quote
