buzzfrog Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 of course the vengeance and vendetta are not really on par. but the veritas, veracity, verdict and villain, messed with them em all while I was at classic. I cant for the life of me tell a difference in the verdict and veritas, outside of the sliding handle, then I played with villain and the new veracity. cant hardly tell a difference either. played with them all. and honestly can see a price point to justify the differences. Anyone have or fish them all Then ikes new rods, 15, 5 spinning, 5 regular then 5 glass, heard they were gonna be on par with veritas Quote
Mike2841 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I have a vendetta, veritas, veracity, and villain. They're all different powers and lengths so it's not really apples to apples. The villain IMO are not worth the money. The veracity is my favorite, it's the lightest and best balanced, then again the one I have is 6'6". I've gotten them all at discount prices. I think the veritas is a good rod for 100$. I've only used the veracity for topwater and moving baits so I can't really speak for it's sensitivity but I would buy another one. Quote
buzzfrog Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 thanks for imput, I dont think any except the veritas is worth the price point Quote
Blues19 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I think the Veritas dropped its price to $80 too, right? Heck of a rod for $80 in my opinion. Quote
mjseverson24 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I have a 7'MH/F veritas, 7'6 H/F vendetta, and a 7'M/F verdict. I really like the verdict, it is more sensitive than the veritas, and lighter as well. at MSRP the veritas is the best IMO but I got my verdict new for 60.00 that is a great deal on that rod... All are good, there is a big difference in the size of the blanks from the 30 ton veritas to the 36 ton verdict the verdict just feels a little more crisp, but they have had issues with the handles... I have not tried any of the newer upper end rods though... Mitch Quote
craww Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I agree with the OP, its to the point I dont even consider the new lines of AG rods when they come out. Same stiff rod with no tip across all the models. Not always a bad thing, but some varying tapers would be nice. Even theyre winch rods are like that. And would it kill them to make a spinning rod that wont double as a flipping stick? The Medium Lights are stouter than most companys Medium's. Dont get me wrong I like the veritas (6'9" MH is a great large spook rod) but I dont understand the logic of theyre product line. Quote
Grantman83 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Why have the vendetta at $79 if the veritas is now $79? Also, I've read that the veracity is considered their premium line now but it is lower priced than the villian. Interesting Quote
buzzfrog Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 My bps only had the 1x villain. Think they my phase out Quote
CTGalloway21 Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I snagged a Volatile off Amazon for $89 and it is awesome. Quote
