DFrench97 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I'm going to buy some more crank baits soon. I'd throw them near docks for largemouth with a rocky bottom and 3-6 ft depth. What would you recommend me buy? Thanks Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted March 4, 2014 Super User Posted March 4, 2014 Rapala DT-6. Good enough to win The Classic. Another suggestion is the Norman Fat Boy (Redear) Quote
Super User Munkin Posted March 4, 2014 Super User Posted March 4, 2014 LC 1.5 Bandits SK 3 series Allen 1 Quote
Volboy Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 200 bandit is a good, inexpensive crankbait. Also for banging around shallow cover in the warmer months, a square bill like the SK 1.5 is a solid choice. This time of year a # 5 or #7 Shad Rap is tough to beat too. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted March 5, 2014 Super User Posted March 5, 2014 Strike King KVD 1.5 square bill......someone had to say it. 2 Quote
DFrench97 Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 Thanks for all the replies! I'll keep Norman, Bandit, Rapala, and Strike King in mind. Quote
dfris Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 KVD 1.5 In the 6ft range I don't know a better lure to be honest. I have tried them all, not saying they are not good lures, but it seems that anything that has kvd on it just plain out catch's fish. Quote

SpencerLittle Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 sorry to butt in, on the KVD series do you guys prefer the rattling cranks or the silent stalker? All of the kvd baits I've seen are silent. They make a bait that is similar called the 4s. It is another very good bait. You can also find the 4s with trokar trebles hooks which is a big plus for me. Quote
