Has anyone used these before?

I bought a pack of the air frogs for myself and my two buddies from TW last week for this past weekend. Fish weren't hitting too water so I didn't get a chance to really throw it. Stopped at a pond before dark and threw it for a few casts. They have good action and the frog always lands up right so that's a plus, very versitile bait it seems like.

My question for those who have used them what hook do you use to rig it? I am using the owner screw hooks size 6 but it seems like there isn't enough room to get a good hook set when using them, I could be wrong because like I said barley threw it and didn't get any strikes.

Also the bait monkey got me again just spent a other $70 on more baits for my all weekend fishing trip Friday. I purchased Damiki Air Craws and was curious if anyone has used them and same thing what hooks to use to rig them.

Thanks for any input

I have the air frogs but haven't had the chance to test out either. I bought Owner 6/0 unweighted beast hooks for the frogs. I also have the knockout and really like it. I have used it as a jig trailer but haven't had any takers yet.

I will say that for the price I probably won't buy anymore unless they really produce for me... they are pretty expensive for how soft the plastic is. They tear pretty dang easy.

I haven't fished the frogs but I'm pretty sure I watched a video or read somewhere which recommended using an owner 6/0 beast hook.

I think Bryan Thrift was using a 6/0 beast hook when he fished the air frog for his TW vid. I'd recommend checking it out, he shows how he works it and rigs it. I have'nt picked any up yet but as soon top water heats up later this year I may buy me a couple.
