set_the_hook Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Anyone try this bait yet? Im wondering the weight of it compared to a senko. Quote
TXBasshunter Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Cannot answer your question about weight, but can weigh one of mine and a senko and tell you tomorrow evening. I make a similiar bait and will send you some free to try if you want. PM me your address. Quote
kLuo Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 is that a hand-poured hag's tornado? sounds promising! Quote
TBendBassin Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 i would like to compare your bait to the stanley sidewinder Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 24, 2011 Super User Posted January 24, 2011 Yes, just before the fishing season ended in Virginia last year. Very promising bait. Good on a shaky head, drop shot and you can use it on a Carolina rig. I ordered my supply from the guy who invented them as I cannot find them in local tackle shops. The bait has ridges which hold air and makes it float upward. You can also insert a small rattle in the bait. Looking forward to get this cold weather out of the area so we can hit the ponds and lakes and give some of the new baits and equipment a try. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 24, 2011 Super User Posted January 24, 2011 By the way, it is lighter than a Senko. Sorry I did not answer your query direct in above post. Quote
hitchhiker Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 I've used Grande Bass Rattlesnakes for over a year, but haven't tried this one. Looks too similar to go and buy them, until I run out. Really works well on a c-rig. Much lighter than a senko. Quote
jdw174 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Started using them this past year on shakeyheads and did really well on them. I like California Red for a color. Bought a bag of the 8" size to try C-rigging this year. *** carries them. Quote
set_the_hook Posted January 25, 2011 Author Posted January 25, 2011 i would like to see if anyone tried pitching these on say a 1/4oz weighted hook. or do you think it would kill the action? Quote
