YungAngler Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I have an F-150 and would like to add a rod rack or 2 to the bed. I would like to run them along the side of the bed horizontally, because my SOT yak sits against the back of the bed. Any good DIY suggestions? I'm not the most handy guy, so the easier the better. I love it. Very well built. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 I was about to mention the rodsman. I have 2 sets. They work great. Quote
plural_of_fant Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I'm going to jump on This thread rather then star a new one. Anyone know of secure options for 7' rods with a truck that has a short bed. I'm looking to buy a ram 1500 but i need the quad cab for child seats. My current freshwater boat doesn't have internal rod storage. Looking for some type of rack. But would prefer one with some level of locking. 8-10 rod capacity would be preferable. Thanks Quote
spartyon8 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 ...or how about an option for those trucks with a tool box? Quote
KDW96 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 ...or how about an option for those trucks with a tool box? ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^Yep.Tired of the rods sliding after a ride to the local ponds.I think im going to just build one.Just the vibrations of driving will have the tips against the front of the bed,and the reels mard up.
