Super User BassinLou Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 Thanks it was caught in a canal that connects to the Cancun spot Finally caught a few there! Cool dude... that's awesome. I saw a couple spawning on the same day I caught that 4lbr bass. I didn't want to mess with them. They were 2+ for sure, but I have seen much bigger. Quote

We were sight fishing for the pea's and it's so awesome to see them and then get a reaction strike from them. Ahh gets your blood pumping. Going to head back out there tomorrow. It only 2 minutes from my house. I'm starting to love fishing even more (didn't know it was possible) now that I can catch peacock so close. 1 Quote
SnazzySenko Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 That's awesome. How do they fight? They fight like they're almost twice their size! Awesome fish to catch. Quote

Just PM me and I will let you know where Thanks man appreciate it. I am up here in Jax. I may get a chance in a couple months to head down and fish with lou if all works out as planned. This thread got me thinking Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 Been trying to clear some time to head south for them. March is my most unenjoyable fishing month, lost my interest in bass fishing for the season (I'll get it back next November) and saltwater hasn't perked up yet. For the record, 15 #+ jacks having been cruising the ICW, just never know where or when they will show up, caught only one so far. Quote
Bass Commander Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Nice fish brother the one in my profile pic weighed 5.5 lbs fought like a monster. Quote
firerat Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I caught this little booger in a canal off Griffin Rd in Davie. Found a great little honey hole full of Peas!! Wow this is a crappy pic. LOL Quote
I.rar Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Nice catch! Haven't been able to catch one in a while. All my local spots are being discovered and even my go-to baits haven't been producing. Looks like the canals may be the ticket! Quote
