Super User slonezp Posted March 1, 2014 Super User Posted March 1, 2014 Just not quite as exciting when I already know the outcome 1 Quote
5dollarsplash Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Just not quite as exciting when I already know the outcome It's why I have to watch the packers beat the bears live It is true though, the anticipations gone and its not the same as live. I'll probably flip on the classic for a bit anyway though. Quote

5dollarsplash Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 True enough. The battle for who wanted it the least was pretty competitive last year. Quote
BuckMaxx Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 I have watched it nice to see the full coverage after watching 3 days of war room coverage last week. I made a post a week ago showing my dislike in bass coverage. It still hasnt changed I watched Boom Booms 9.3 catch atleast a dozen times. Tharps how do you like then apples boys another dozen times. They had 50 go pros rolling. They should have 95% of all bass caught on film. Show em all! How about the others in the top 10 that didnt get a peep! Randy Howell wins it from 11 spot and you cant talk about below the top 5? I dont know whats worse Zona's constant blabber or Tommy Sanders continuous twitch like he has terrets. Don't get me wrong I love bassmasters and love bass fishing but wanna see BASS caught! 1 Quote

I like the show - like the coverage over all, but they really could benefit from a new production staff. Can we call what we've seen so far the kind of coverage one would expect from "The Superbowl" of Bass Fishing ? I say barely. A-Jay Quote
lmoore Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Just watching the championship round. Following the live blog last weekend, I was expecting EE to really blow up at the spectators. Disappointingly, I thought he handled it pretty well given the circumstance and what he's got on the line. Quote
black94gt50 Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Just finished watching it. Edwin has been my favorite for a few years. I always liked denny brauer, since he's gone Edwin and Tim Horton is my favorite. Edwin seems like a really good dude, just super respectful to everyone and seems like he enjoys fishing so much. Have a lot of respect for the man. I sure hope he gets a classic win before his career is over. Howell put it on them the second and third day. Congrats to him. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted March 3, 2014 Super User Posted March 3, 2014 I followed along online during the tournament and watched all 3 shows yesterday. I enjoy the show but couldn't agree more about showcasing the other anglers/catches and more about what they are doing. With all those go-pro's this should have been much easier than in the past. Too much talk for talking sake. It's pretty obvious to me they tailor the 5 hours to ensure they tell the story of the winner. You wouldn't get that in any other sport. Maybe it just needs a little more Sheli Sanders. Quote

Super User jbsoonerfan Posted March 4, 2014 Super User Posted March 4, 2014 I have watched it. It was decent. I did laugh when seeing Randy Howell say "I will touch the trophy" or something along those lines. He also said "I have 2 bananas in my boat, so oh well" Pretty funny since I already knew the outcome. 1 Quote
IntroC Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Shelly Sanders besides from being easy on the eyes is very well spoken. They should have her doing on the water interviews. As far as coverage, yeah they did show a few of the bigger catches a few to many times but overall I had no trouble sitting through fours hours(?) of tourney coverage which IMO says alot. I enjoyed it immensely. Also in another thread people were making it sound like Howwel was lieing about using a Livingston lure. After watching the coverage it didn't seem that way. The lures very closely resembled eachother and during an on the water interview he said he used the Livingston for a bit deeper applications. I'm a new fan of Howell. Seems like a genuinely good person. I will say this is the first classic I have ever watched and got a bit choked up. Maybe I'm turning into a big softy. Quote

Howell made it easy to get that way. I'm a huge fan now too!! Quote
