I recently ordered a revo gen 3,   need a all purpose rod to go with it... cranks , traps, maybe worm here and there.

I was looking at the 13s brand rods...  prob in the 100$ range.    anyone have any suggestions.  .  mh?   m?

I have 3 Veritas rods matched with Abu SX's. their cheap, light, and sensitive. I recently bought a 7' M winch series which I haven't got to use it yet, but it's rated up to 3/4oz and should work for what you listed.

There are a few good options for what you are looking for, I would check out the shimano clarus or compre 7'2" M/F, another great multipurpose rod is the skeet reese spinnerbait rod, the mojo 7' M or MH/F is another great option, the veritas and omens are pretty sweet as well. Tatula for like 110 from a site sponsor is another great option...

Before you spool it up open it up and clean up the extra grease. Those things have a pound of grease in them. I just spent an hour cleaning mine.

What do you suggest on the line to spool it with...

I have mine on a 7' MH/F Veritas, and it's spooled with 30lb braid. It's my "do-all" combo. It mainly tosses swim jigs, spinnerbaits, and frogs ( in all but the heaviest slop). If I need a stiff rod for ripping traps and squarebills out of thick grass, it can do that,  I can also fish texas and carolina rigs, jigs, and tons of other stuff on it. It's the one casting set up, out of the 9-10 I carry at all time that seems like is always on my deck.

It depends on the lb test. At lower lb tests up to 12lb I like berkley 100% fluorocarbon. Above that I like using seaguar invisx ( honestly ill use all sizes of invisx but I get berkley really cheap)   You could put on 30lb braid and then use a 10-12lb fluorocarbon leader if you decide to throw crankbaits.  It really depends on what you want to do. I say put on 12lb fluorocarbon of your choice and call it a day.
