I just bought an older Loomis MBR843IMX and I have a feeling that it will be used for jigs n worms, spinnerbaits, swim jigs, Scroungers, small swimbaits, buzz baits etc. People also like the Loomis MBR783 as an all purpose rod. Maico1 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Very sweet reel one you will be very happy with, it is a pure caster...Make sure you play with the wind setting when it is windy out it really does work.....I would not have a problem putting that on a MBR 783C or a 782C. Quote

Do you often cast with one hand? If so, I would suggest trying before buying. A minority...of which I am one...don't like casting one hand with these rods as the handle diameter is so small. However, they are excellent rods otherwise. I almost always cast 2-handed, so it doesn't affect me much. How far south in Jersey do you live? I work in Warren off I78. I'd be willing to bring my *** for you to handle if you don't have any place near you to handle one. 1 Quote
