Now that I started making my own plastics I would hate to even try to give that number. I guess the difference is now one bag might have 50 baits in it instead five bags with ten. When I use to fish Federation they gave us bags full of sample baits to try. Most of it I never used so when I would get home I had a box that I would pitch them in. Who knows why. I had a large box full of baits. So I separated all the colors and melted them down into baits I would use. The odd colors I just added black and made them black. It was free plastic and kept me busy this winter.

I probably have 50 bags. I thought that was a lot. I don't even come close.

Just counted. I'm at 21 lol, and most of those are half full.  Heading to the BPS Spring Classic sale tomorrow, so that number will change for sure! My wife thinks 21 is plenty lol, This will only be my second season fishing, I'm still trying to build my collection, but am often met with resistance. I need to continue showing her posts like these ;)

Ive got entire boxes dedicated to categories of baits... swimbaits, worms, craws

I actually just told myself yesterday that I wont buy any bags anytime soon

Hundreds. I figured out it was cheaper to make my own, so that's what I've started doing. About a $200 upfront investment and you can make thousands of baits in any color you want.

If youre anything like me, you will get to a point you have so many options that it can become impossible to focus on the details and start wingn everything thinking its a bait or color change away from glory.

I'm going through and trying to clear out ones I don't or haven't used.  Luckily, I've gotten to the point where I know what I like and what works for me.  I'm sure there will be the occasional purchase outside of that but, BIG BUT, I'm going to try to stick with the winners.

I am not sure but I doubt they would all fit in the bed of a truck?

I have too many. But I need more. I have mine categorized by worms, swimbaits, creatures and craws. Probably 25lbs of each. But I saw a few more that I'll pick up next time.

I'd have to guess it is somewhere close to the 4500 mark.  Were I to measure it by weight volume, it's got to be somewhere around 1200lbs of plastic.

Thanks - I don't feel as bad about have what I have now - actually seems somewhat reasonable compared to your half a TON . . . .
