masterbass Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Why do my buzzbaits run on their sides? Is it normal or should it run vertical? Quote
dave Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Wire alignment? Reeling too fast? Slightly tilted is sort of normal due to how the blades are turning. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 26, 2014 Super User Posted February 26, 2014 I don't know, but if you are looking for a suggestion, give the MegaStrike Cavitron a try. Quote
ksboy Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I agree with "dave". Probably the speed you are reeling. For instance if you are retrieving a Buzz with a clockwise blade, it will lay on one side and a counter-clockwise blade will lay on the other side. Before casting, check that the wire is straight and in line with the head and hook of the bait. Then try retrieving a little slower till you get it to stay upright. Also, I've notice that if I don't get the trailer threaded on straight, it will lean one way or the other. I don't know who said this but I think he/she was right: "If it was easy, anyone could do it". Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted February 26, 2014 Super User Posted February 26, 2014 Check if you're write is straight. It's the blades bent? How fast are you reeling? How is your knot tied? Are you using a swivel? Quote
