i brought a universal kill for my nitro but it seen like none of them fits right  can some one tell me which one i need to use  and maybe post a pic of their kill switch on the boat

on my triton the kill switch is a merc model so I bought the merc model lanyard. if you cant find it I have an extra one and will post the part number...let me know

If you have a newer mercury it's the looped adaptor. Put the red switch in the down position, put the looped adaptor above the switch and flip the switch up

The kill switch will depend on what brand of motor you have and the year. If you can snap a pic of what your kill switch looks like that would be helpful.

upX2 my 98 Nitro uses this same one. Follow these instructions or google a picture and you will find it.

X3.  It can take a little getting used to.  Make sure the adapter is vertical, with the lanyard down, not horizontal when you place the loop over the switch.

The universal ones usually have three terminals, common, normally open and normally closed. You just hook one wire to the common and the other is based on your motor. If the motor uses a voltage through the switch to run, you would use the NC, Mercs require a voltage. If they require a ground to shut them off, ie omc's/brp, you use the NO terminal

The common will connect to ignition terminal on the key switch and the wire you disconnect from the key switch will connect to the NO/NC terminal of the kill switch.
