prjavelin Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 im looking at a ton of baitcasters in this range and I cant pick one that is better than the others. Every time I think Im gonna get one I find a review of other product and end up changing my mind. Im looking at: Lews tournament MG Daiwa lexa 100 daiwa t 3 ballistic bp tournament pro shimano citica shimano curado(if on a deal) abu revo S Im thinking a 6.3:1 or close. I want to use 10# invisx on it. Its going to be used for jerkbaits, mostly lucky crafts pointer 78 dd and xd. the rod will be a *** 6'7 M F as Ive heard many great things about these in regards of quality and even compared to reels in the 250$ range. the two most important things for me are casting distance and ability to cast light lures. ALL input is appreciated. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted February 25, 2014 Super User Posted February 25, 2014 Out if the ones you listed, t3 ballistic. I really like that reel. 2 Quote
DirtyDeuceGoose Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I too love my ballistic. Great reel especially for the price they're at right now Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted February 25, 2014 Super User Posted February 25, 2014 I'd pick the Curado G if you get it on sale..if not then my pick would be the Lexa. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 25, 2014 Super User Posted February 25, 2014 I haven't used one but the t 3 ballistic gets praise Quote

prjavelin Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I just ordered 4 t3 ballistics for $110 each at tw. Sale ends today though im asking now because I will buy before sale ends Quote
Cgrinder Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 You can probably find a second hand curado 50e for $130 or so. If you're looking to throw small pointers on a budget, I believe it is the best option. Quote
daiwaguy Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I just ordered 4 t3 ballistics for $110 each at tw. Sale ends today though What he said. lol. I ordered a few this weekend I said 113 in another post but I forgot I had included a cover for each one for 2.99. Quote
Wbeadlescomb Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I bought a lews speed spool and I got a few citicas for 67 at the classic it's a toss up the lews throws farther and is smooth as butter but the shimano's don't feel that smooth until you put line on them and start fishing them then they are awesome. Tough call on returning the lews and getting a couple curado's and going all shimano Quote
trickwormmaster Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 i just order the t3 ballistic for $110 on TW but also plan on getting the tatula for $105 on ebay. i demoed both and the t3 felt a little nicer but the tatula got fantastic reviews on TW and tackle tour.com Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted February 27, 2014 Super User Posted February 27, 2014 Tatula is a more robust reel. I like it for doing the dirty stuff like pitching into cover, cranking, etc; though it can cast just about anything. The Ballistic is more of a light duty reel to me. It's good for bouncing jigs off rocks, fishing t-rigs, weightless plastics, and stuff of that nature. Should make a sweet 1-2 punch. Quote
GaterB Posted February 28, 2014 Posted February 28, 2014 Out if the ones you listed, t3 ballistic. I really like that reel. X2 Quote
