BuckMaxx Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I have been trying to improve my livewell management in my boat. I installed a power bubbles kit last year and it really helped. Does anyone have these on their boat? What do you think of them honestly? Looking for nonbias reports thanks!! Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted February 25, 2014 Super User Posted February 25, 2014 Took a look at them when I saw something a mention of them on ***. IMHO I think they're kind of a gimmick. I could be wrong though. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted February 25, 2014 Super User Posted February 25, 2014 They claim they help aerate the water at the same time the ammonia gasses are being expelled. I would guess running the aerator and opening the lid occasionally would accomplish the same thing. Do you have an issue with losing fish? It could be a bacteria, or an undersized or non functioning pump(s) causing the issues. I run my aerator on auto and recirc on constant all day. The days it's real hot, I run all the pumps on constant. Quote
BuckMaxx Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 No I havent lost a fish yet but I dont want to either. I have dual (small) livewells on my Ranger. I drilled some 1.5" holes in the divider to let water circulate better between them. I also dont use any additives to my water. There have been times I have deep hooked a fish and put her in the live well to see if she was going to make it. Often with the power bubbles and circ pumps rolling within a few minutes, she will be back to her old self. Quote
