Me and my dad have a tourament on Norman on Sat. Today it was nice in the 70s, but on Wed. or Thur. it will be in the low 30 :mad10:, and stay that way the rest of the week. Do you have any recomendations on what baits, techniques, and where I should fish?

I have not been on Norman since the 80's but - fish that are in deeper water will be less affected by the weather change.  Many docks have years of Xmas trees off the end of them.  If it were me, I would find some of them with my depth finder, back off and throw a jig at them.

both of the options above are great choices….  i was up there last weekend with similarly cold conditions and my buddy with me was catching some on a rat l trap….  dark color, almost black with an orange belly….

When I have post frontal conditions I like to toss a 3/8...let it fall slow and then let it sit for bout ten seconds and then give a little twitch. (watch you line)

P.S. I'd use some Yum or Smelly Jelly too.

I've been keeping an eye on norman water temps with our trip coming up and while the air temps have been fluctuating, water temps have been pretty steady in the low 50s in the morning and mid 50s in the afternoon.

Shakey Head, Suspending Jerkbait, etc.

Anything that sits still in the water really. Bass are opportunistic feeders, so while theyre metabolism drops ridiculously low in cold water, theyll still bite. They just generally wont chase anything.

The key is to just dangle it in front of their face while theyre suspending there to tick em off enough to where theyll take a free meal using the least amount of energy. Theres a reason bass are called lazy, haha
