Classic Notes.

I'd like to say this was my first classic / expo experience and it was, in one word, INSANE! I was so jacked up!

 

I looked, and looked.... and looked.... and looked some more for Glen but I could never locate them. I asked the MTB guys if they had seen him around and they I missed him by 5 minutes. Can't wait to hang with you guys on the road trip!

 

For anyone who hasn't ever been, I would highly recommend going to a Classic event. It's well worth it. 

 

And I don't know if it's been louder at other events like that, but when they named Randy the winner - that place came undone!

As for the Crowd's level of enthusiasm - Having a Home Town Boy win it all may have had something to do with it.

I'm glad you decided to go.  It was a great time here in Tulsa last year.  I was glad to see Randy win.  He'll be an excellent champion. It was nice to see some enthusiasm from a winner.

On Sat. you had to literally almost push and shove to see what you wanted at the expo!

I had some different notes from the classic, was really trying to pay attention to what guys were saying. One major thing I took away was someone mentioned about fishing a section you knew held fish and if it didnt produce with that color, change the color and go back through again.

 

I am a stubborn angler. If I think they are gonna bite a gill colored 2.5, they better bite the d**n thing. I just never even consider going to a completely different end of the color spectrum and running that same water again.

 

Guess thats why I am not a pro.

Oh yeah, I was def. paying attention to what they were saying. Especially in regard to the patterns they were on, water temps and the "hints" about what the were throwing.

Had a great time hanging out with Bighead and his son Chad, Bass Angler Magazine, Hank Parker, Bill Dance, Booyah, Sure-Life, Power-Pole, Hobie, Big-O, Mike Bucca, Seaguar, and many, many more!

 

However i missed out on meeting any members aside from who I listed above.  I'm a bit bummed about that.  I know the Hawgtech crew was on the floor, but I missed them too.  Then again, I was busy videotaping all over the place (new videos to be posted soon!).
