Super User Root beer Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 If you like any of the following beers: Coors Light, Miller Light, Budweiser, Bud Light, or basically any beer like that, don't post! This thread is about craft beers, microbrews, IPAs, etc. So, what everyone current favorite? I love Fat Tire by New Belgium on draft which could be my all time favorite beer. Sierra Nevada Torpedo which is an extra IPA is real good. Quote
Super User Teal Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 Wow...an elitist beer thread. Now I know what discrimination feels like. My taste in beer is not refined enough. Just picking, yall have a fun thread. I'm taking my budlight and going home. 2 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 Bud light, Coors Light, Dos Equis and Modelo are just fine. However, I do like a Dead Guy Ale from time to time. Also usually have a few Pliny The Elder, Blind Pig, and Damnation in the fridge. I also like Harp on occasion. Quote
grizzly1654 Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Sam Adams Rebel IPA on draft is as good as it gets. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 Yuengling Lager bottle or draft. 2 Quote
gripnrip Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Yuengling Lager bottle or draft. We can't get it here but I love Yuengling! Some of my favorites are F5, Hefe, and Marshall's El Cucuy. F5 and Marshall are brewed here in Oklahoma. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 Oh my. Where to start. I've tried so many IPAs and craft brews. For strength of taste, my fave: Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Straight Belgian: Roquefort All the rest are in my memory somewhere. But I have to be honest, I'm more into Bud Light Platinum these days than anything else. All the other stuff is so heavy, and packs on the beer belly. Oh, and Miller's Fortune is a pretty decent beer. But I'm not a snob, so you won't find my reviews on beer advocate and all that. Quote

Super User Darren. Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 Tetravis.jpg A-Jay I believe this was in a 3-pack at Costco's over the holidays. Something like $22. I almost bought the pack. How is it? Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 Bodingtons Pub Ale. Murphys Draught. Are my two current favorites. Right behind Guiness. I see no purpose in drinking a beer with 20% alcohol in it. Seems like a strange fad to me. If want to drink something with a high proof to it. I will drink my Absinthe and water. Its right at 180-160 proof. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 ^ Why am I not surprised that you drink absinthe? Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 ^ Why am I not surprised that you drink absinthe? I've been drinking it since 2003. You still have to have the good stuff imported. For what ever reason they won't sell the good stuff in this country. 1 Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 Also in the spirit of the thread. I really haven't found a micro brew that I have liked yet. I've tried high gravity, some IPA's, even a few imported high gravity beers. I like beer that is basically coffee colored. Any recommendations? Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 I don't remember anything from that night. That's the problem then. You sip it. Don't slam it. At between 150 to 200 dollars a fifth there are better things to get blasted on. Next time I have a get together with some friends and partake in some absinthe, I will invite you as well. No point in you spending that kind of money on something that you may not like. Unless you are just desperate to try it again real soon. Then by all means I can tell you three or four different brands to try. 1 Quote
