I saw the Sony 4K at Frys. Unbelievable picture. They had one with an 85" screen for the low, low price of $24,999.00

I think we're still a couple years away from actually being able to utilize the technology of 4k.  By that time, that 85" screen will be $4,999.00 with an even better picture.

Couple of treestands and 18 of the old API Skyhooks with 150bolts to go with them for way in deep stands that I dont want to carry a mile.

Oh... a new intake boot cause the factory one was shot in my car and new front brakes and rotors, those I dont consider fun.

If I remember correctly from my video training the human eye cant really detect 4k anyhow.

I knew they existed!! Now if I can only find the brick stretcher? Then I can proved they are such things in this world!!

You're probably right....but manufacturers have figured that the human eye and your wallet have minds of their own.

Speaking of HD... I used to always get a kick out of that sunglasses commercial... see the world in HD. Who was the genious who thought up marketing polarized glasses to the public as seeing in HD.

Let's see...over the past few months, a new refrigerator, new washer and dryer, new gas range, 2 recliners and a sofa, a multi-function switch and an idle air control valve for my pickup, around 300 plastic worms, a couple hundred hooks, 35 spinnerbaits ( got 'em at a garage sale for $5! ) and about a dozen crankbaits.

That's not counting a lot of gas and groceries.

A steel roof and four new windows for the house. Also, a new water line. The old line was only 17" underground and froze for the first time this year. Haven't seen all the bills for yet for that little fiasco.

At the newly acquired lake front cabin: had the entire floor ripped out and replaced, drywall and trim work, new heater, paint and floor tile. Still have to purchase and install kitchen sink and cabinets. Still shopping around for some bargain furniture. At least I get a place to have my rod building bench and reel service bench.

Got a sneaky feeling I'm building my own doghouse,

New battery for my wife's van. New front and rear rotors for my Ram truck, complete with ceramic pads all around (gonna have some good stopping ability this year). Also a new Pflueger Trion spinning reel, size 30, a couple packs of Zoom U-tale worms for me, and I picked up a Booyah Pad Crasher hollow body frog for dad, the smaller sized one. He likes smaller lures for his uses.

Someone said brakes and other car parts aren't fun but I always enjoy the new parts. Seems the car just performs better afterwards. Even a good oil change I find enjoyable, which I also recently bought for the truck and the van. The truck takes 7 quarts. Sometimes that's a little bit of a hit since a quart here is $5 now. I usually look for sales on oil changes from one of the local parts suppliers and get it then. Always Pennzoil. Soon the truck will need new tires also. Can't wait, $125 each. Not crazy about the price but I'll be happy to get them none the less and consider that fun also.

Plano bump board at Walmart, clearance for only $7, and Plano Hydro-Flo utility box, clearance at WM for $5 even.

Not bad, if I do say so myself. But they didn't have any ultra-cheap Veritas rods I was looking for...

Got $300. in gift cards for Cabela's over the hollidays so I ordered about $75. in crankbaits today. Wish they were BPS gift cards as thats where I do most of my fishy business but, hey, Im sure Cabela's will get the rest of them sooner or later.

Don't underestimate Cabela's. As far as major brands, they have the same ones, and I like their house brand rods better than BPS house brands. Until recently, BPS reels were higher on my list but now that Cabela's went back to Daiwa making theirs, that might change too. Also Cabela's has a house branded tackle bag that's freakin' awesome. Advanced Angler is the name of it, green and yellow colors. Very well designed for my needs and this is what I will get for replacing my worn out duffle bag I've used for years.

I went to the weight loss clinic and paid for their best program. Now, 4 weeks later I'm 25 pounds lighter. :respect-059:

A friend of mine went to one of those weight loss programs. I ran into him about six weeks later, and asked him how much he had lost. He said, so far, $345.00
