fish stick Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I know there is carp and trout, trout being stocked at inlets , outlets but are there or has anyone caught a bass there.? A fisherman told me its real shallow, d would 5hat mean no bass. Cuz its a nice body of water, great scenery. Never see many ppl fishing it. Quote
atown angler Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Are you talking about down by cedar beach? If so I never knew for sure either if they had any bass or not. Quote
Super User tomustang Posted February 24, 2014 Super User Posted February 24, 2014 Think I heard there's white bass and trout in there and they don't grow large. Try the Lehigh river for bass and the little lehigh for trout, many other places in the whole region that are much better for trout. Quote
atown angler Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I live right by lehigh parkway where they stock the little lehigh with trout, good luck the first 3 weeks trying to find a spot to fish. That is what pushed me more into the bass game, only problem finding good places around here. Quote
atown angler Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Where abouts on the Lehigh do you recommend? Never fished it and really dont know where to go. I wonder if there are any decent spots by the boat launch by the iron pigs stadium? Quote
fish stick Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I fished for bass at the south mountain resevoir right off of emmaus ave. Gotta take tenth street up to the res. Has some bass but not too accessible but for a few spots. It actually has two, one bigger pond one smaller. Since im in allentown its a quick drive for some bass. Quote
fish stick Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Also in emmaus theres a nice family pond on tenth street, ooonly been there once but give it a try. Its right on the side of the road Quote
fish stick Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Also salisbury has a pond right near tgeir little league fiels and courts Quote
atown angler Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 I fished that one in emmaus a lot last year and pulled a few decent sized from there. It gets fished pretty heavy so it took awhile to figure it out what would work. I'm like 5 minutes from the res but never tried it either. Quote
fish stick Posted February 26, 2014 Author Posted February 26, 2014 If u try the res beware of downed trees or branches, they claimed many lures Quote
