Freddy is quite the spooky little evil critter. Whereas Jason is a hulking mass of evil. Both are driven by revenge. Or maybe just out of a sheer joy of slaughtering teenagers and early twenty something's. However, which is better at his craft? Not which would beat the snot out of the other. We already know the answer to that as Jason walked off holding Freddy's grinning winking severed head. So again which is better at what he does?

I may be biased but I give Major style points to Jason. He uses any and everything he can get his hands on. Freddy just manipulates dreams. Psshhhhh.

Freddy has the dark version of "Where's Waldo" going on with that sweater. I gotta give it to the man in the mask. A machete is far scarier than four pocket knife blades on a glove. Freddy can only get you in your dreams. Jason can hack you up anytime. Even out in the woods, no matter how fast you run, he always seems to catch up just by a slow, steady walk. Plus, Jason is a chick magnet. Just look at how many hot, sexy co-ed type girls keep going out in the woods at night in spite of him being there.

I think at least six of the Friday the 13th's are watchable. Three movies into Nightmare on Elm Street and uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh.

Honorable mention for Jason X being the best movie like, ever. It includes some of the best one-liners in terrible horror movie history and a cameo by David Cronenberg, who makes sweet movies himself.

Short version: Jason.
