Just wondering why some of you are still undecided about attending the 2014 Road Trip.  Yea, you've made your lists of pros and cons about attending, but I know one thing that isn't on either of those lists.  The only way to find out is to attend, even if it's just for a couple of days.  You've taken week-end fishing trips before and this isn't just any week-end trip.

Besides, I still need someone to help defray my transportation costs. Unlike some of the attendees, I 'm on a fixed income.  Yea, I'm a cranky old ex-military fart and I just may have to have you pump out a hundred or so push-ups if you don't get off the fence and make a decision. :tsk-tsk:

Check out the invitation for more information.

I would love to, unfortunately May and June are impossible months for me to get away from work. The wife was all for it, but my boss was not. Too much going on in the Vegetation and Tree Management world in those months.

ANYONE ELSE? If not, I'll have to ask for volunteers.  I DON'T WANT TO MAKE YOU DROP AND GIVE ME 20.  SPEAK UP!

I'd love to go but can't drive and don't have a real job since I'm only 15. Plus my dad isn't real big into bass fishing so that's a no go. :Idontknow:

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm 16 years old. I don't know why I love fishing so much. My dad hates boats and any kind of fish/fishing.

You young folks in your teens are welcome to attend, but you MUST be accompanied by an adult.

i really got into it the past couple years. i just wish i had more opportunities to go instead of being confined to the 200 yards of bank that I fish all the time. I mean, I usually do pretty good and that's where i caught my PB, but it's nice to go somewhere different and have another view, you know? Maybe that'll change when i can drive!

sorry that it's off topic! :off-topic:

I wish my dad would make the trip with me, but he doesn't really care for bass fishing. He's more of a catfish kind of guy.

This statement alone, reduces the cost of attending the Bass Resource Road Trip!

Last year was my first Road Trip.......and I don't plan on missing another one!

When I get to the end of my time here on earth.......I'm thinking about having myself taken to the taxidermist......then I could keep attending the Road Trips.....even after I'm gone.

The only downside to that is........I guess I would have to let my wife drive the boat!

Seriously.......it is a blast and I did not hear one complaint last year on the trip.......not even from me.

C'mon and have some fun........make that decision today and send in the registration form and make some plans with us.

He can catfish if he wants. Some of the attendees even catch drum!

Once my son is old enough to go I plan on attending but he'll be just over 6 months old by then, probably still a little too young  :eyebrows:

Mid April trough mid June and mid Sept. through early November are the busy times on the farm, I can not get away,we often work 6 days a week, 10-14 hour days during these periods. Besides, during those months the fishng 10 minutes down the road on the local lakes is fantastic, I can go out for 2-3 hours after a 12 hour day, on a day we get rained out, or on sunday and catch them good so that keeps me sane and occupied.

It's time to rock!

We will be staying at the The Doublehead Resort. Call 1-800-685-9267 to make reservations. You MUST mention you are with the Bass Resource group in order to get the group discount. You do not have to book it for the entire week, you can go longer or shorter. Just understand we cannot guarantee availability if you want to stay outside the event dates.

You must make your reservation by Feb. 28th. Room availability cannot be guaranteed after March 1st. Note that a $120 deposit is required. If you need any help with your room reservation, send a PM to Alpster with a phone number where you can be reached.

The cabins comfortably sleep 4-8 persons.  Assuming 4 people share a cabin, the rate per person per day would be $46.98, tax and cleaning charge included.

Someone needs to help this guy out. I have college tournaments around the same time so I cannot attend or else we would probably go together. Im going to try and meet up with him over summer to catch some pigs in Northern IL / Wisconsin. I

We could make it a threesome.  I'm crabby in the mornings and jolly (after a few beers) in the evenings.  :eyebrows:

Just a reminder, tomorrow is the last day to make reservations for the Road Trip before the cabins are released to the general public.

If I recall, that rule applies to you too doesn't it Mike.

My sons last year playing ball at College and most of my spring will be spent in the stands watching him.

Then I have to start paying for it. Ughhh
