macmichael Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Anyone ever fished this lake? I'm thinking I want to. Anybody wanna join me? Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 It's a great lake, with the strong potential for a DD bass. My PB was caught there, but it wasn't a DD. Glenn caught his PB there, and it WAS a DD. Quote
macmichael Posted February 23, 2014 Author Posted February 23, 2014 Would you suggest using a guide for the first time? Thanks Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted February 23, 2014 Super User Posted February 23, 2014 I would recommend a guide without hesitation. Lake Fork is a big lake, full of standing timber, and can be treacherous if you stray out of the boat lanes, which is easy to do. For a guide, I would suggest that you start with Tom Reddington. http://www.lakeforkguidetrips.com/ If he is not available, I suggest you get his recommendations for alternates. There are a lot of wanna be guides on that lake. If you are planning on fishing in March, be prepared for any and all types of weather. Quote
