Anyone ever fished this lake?

It's a great lake, with the strong potential for a DD bass.  My PB was caught there, but it wasn't a DD.  Glenn caught his PB there, and it WAS a DD.

Would you suggest using a guide for the first time?

I would recommend a guide without hesitation.  Lake Fork is a big lake, full of standing timber, and can be treacherous if you stray out of the boat lanes, which is easy to do.  For a guide, I would suggest that you start with Tom Reddington.

If he is not available, I suggest you get his recommendations for alternates.  There are a lot of wanna be guides on that lake.

 

If you are planning on fishing in March, be prepared for any and all types of weather.
