Good question Amarley:

I give top priority to 'location', but can't offer an intelligent opinion on pre-spawn holding sites in Guntersville,
without spending a couple hours on Chart Analysis.

Realistically, you can't pick a lure at home before you are physically on the lake. Whenever I try doing this,

water clarity, current lighting conditions, wind velocity or the presence or absence of vegetation usually insult my lure choice.

Guntersville is not without vegetation and for the benefit of the youngsters, Guntersville was the home of the 'Rat'.

Anyway, the lures below would probably be on my short-list:

> Jerkbait            Hard & Soft                                  (exposed hook & weedless hook)

> Swimbait          Gambler Big EZ                           (weedless)

> Crank Plug       Jackall TN/70                              (open water)

> Mat Punch        1-1/4oz Sinker & Plastic Craw   (weedless)

> Jig & Craw        Jig & Plastic Craw                      (weedless)

I would follow Takahiro and fish close to him - I pick him because I think in a scuffle I might win...  then after I caught some fish I would blast some 80s tunes from my jukebox and eat a honeybun

You'd be ok as long as he wasn't wielding a ladle

I'd also try not to blow a lower unit... Tharp has to be sad.

He's already back out fishing.

Yup, didn't take them long. But 1 cast missed for those guys = painful. Even if he lost 30 minutes (don't know exactly how much he lost) that's crucial for him.

I was very impressed with how Tharpe handled that mechanical issue - handled it like a true professional.

Who's your horse tomorrow? I'm hoping Evers pulls it out.

Well I hate to state the obvious, but Mueller is on the big fish.... if they're still there, he's in it.

You can't count Tharp out because it's home to him, he is probably sitting on a big sack tomorrow too.

Edwin...

Anyone can strike from the top 15 or 20 or so...

Edwin is at the top with 47... he weighs in 20lbs... 67 pounds....

What if someone like Bobby Lane weighs in a big fat 30 pound sack... they are right there in it...

I'm just glad I decided to go tomorrow. It's going to be awesome watching weigh-in.

I seen, while watching war room coverage, EE catch a nice keeper on a bladed jig.  I never would have thought to even try that technique.  It makes a lot of since tho!  We are looking at possibly a huge bag tomorrow.  I can't wait!

Bladed jigs have been pretty popular locally for a good while now.

I'd watch out for Mueller and Defoe. When squirrel interviewed them at the ramp both guys acted like they had something good going. Mueller acted like his weight was no big deal. I guess we'll see.

With the way the "Spectators" are conducting themselves - I guess it would either need be a Cloaking device or a scatter gun.

I have a rule when I go down to fish that lake. Never fish on the weekend. Even the weekdays are crowded when the bite is on. That's just part of it there and all the pro's know it.
