Tuckman Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Heres my biggest swimbait largemouth from this fall nabbed on a keitech 4.8 Fat swimbait. I do have several swimbait smallies that were bigger than her though. Quote
soccplayer07 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 HugeEDIT: Not mine. Came across it on a site whilst looking for swimbaits for next year. probably should of said that. Back peddling for sure. This kind of lying just rubs me the wrong way (nice way of saying ticks me off) The man in the picture, that you said was you, is a good friend of mine. I know fishermen tend to stretch the truth but come on man! How dumb do you think we are? wow! Quote

Vinny Chase Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Hamby, Try focusing more on 4" or 5" hollow belly swimbaits. They are a great size for the fish we have here in the midwest, and aren't going to hurt your wallet. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 10, 2011 Super User Posted January 10, 2011 Great pics everyone, but Fourbizz, geez! Beautiful fish. I hope you are back into bass this year. 8-) Quote

I have my biggest swimbait smallie is already posted up on the first page of this post but heres another pic of him and another sebile eater that came on board with him. 3 of my biggest ones came on the same day, lake, and spot. The pic with me and my little bro holding 3 bass is part of a 5 fish tournament bag on a hot swimbait bite, I believe that both the smallie I'm holding and the largie that my little brother is holding came on sebile 125's The last fish is a long but very skinny smallie that ate a zoom swimming fluke in the first 5 minutes that I ever threw the bait. Caught on the same I day I caught the fat Largemouth in my above post. After I ran out of Keitechs of course. 8-) Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 Great pics everyone, but Fourbizz, geez! Beautiful fish. I hope you are back into bass this year. 8-) Thanks Kent. There are some parts of me that would really like to get back to big baiting, but honestly, I dont think it's gonna happen. Quote
Chaz Hickcox Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Maybe.... I'm still much more likely to catch toothy fish on them. The number of large pike in the "bass" areas are still greater than the number of unusually large bass that'll bite a large, expensive swimbait. Lots of stress on the expensive part. I don't make enough money to go searching for huge LMB with swimbaits. I'm sure i'd do a lot better with a smaller swimbait. I may try that. Edit: And BTW, the lakes i fish are a lot smaller than the lakes in your area. There's a lot of overlap in fish location when the max depth is less than 20ft. One of the lakes has a max depth of something like 10ft. Dodge County, WI. You have big fish...... :. http://dnr.wi.gov/fish/record/recorda-l.htm J francho, I just had to comment on WI monster record striped bass at 1lb 9.3oz. I know y'all don't stock up there, its just funny because that wouldnt keep down here. Quote
