I can't post any swimbait bass, because I don't have any pics....none have been camera worthy.  It would take a 7 to get the camera out.

well done speed!!! is that randal's bait in the second pic?

Certainly looks like his herring.  I still need to order one of those.

Yeah it does look like the HPH. I've got 2 of them and got my dad one for christmas. Back in November I had a hold of a big fish on the HPH on Lake Chatuge that I would have loved to see what it weighed!?!?! I threw it just in front of a tree laydown and was letting it sink some, looked back over my head to check on my buddy, eased the rod and it felt like it was hung up. I jerked the rod to try and dislodge it and thats when the fight was on!! Even with a 7'6" swimbait rod and 30lb test P-Line, I couldn't do nothing with him. I seen him come up to the surface just once but he never broke surface, just a big swirl on top. All I could see was a big head, no idea what he would have weighed but he was definately a monster. I got him right under the boat(lifted my line up and there was like 7 feet of line out!) and the hooks just came out :'( :'( Felt like it was 10+ but I could be wrong, I know it felt HUGE! First fish that I have lost that I knew was well over 8lbs. Can't wait to throw it this spring! ;D

So theres my biggest fish on a swimbait and the story about the biggest one that got away! lol

Yeah man, he's got some good stuff in the works too.

Definite fish catchers.

These two pictures are from a few years ago when i started throwing swimbaits. 1st picture is of me holding a nice 7 pounder caught with a 6" hollow belly and the 2nd picture is of me with a double header on a 12" old school Huddleston with two trebble hooks.

Here's one I got when I was a kid. That's my dad helping me hold it up for the picture....

It was a hell of a fight. The fish drug me through so much brush most of my clothes came off. Got him on a swimbait I whittled that morning before school. After I cut a cord of firewood to take to school. Uphill. Both ways.

I don't have that many due to a computer meltdown a few months back. I got a harsh lesson in backing up pictures. Here's a few I had on my phone.

Well, my biggest bass on a swimbait, was a really significant catch for me....

1) because it was, and still is, my biggest ever, caught on a swimbait.... the old, hard head, soft bodied Castaic 9"

2) because I caught it in front of an audience of about 25 trout fishermen. I yelled, "fish on" they all turned to look, the fish jumped, and they all went into immediate applause like at a big sports game or something ! :D

3) because it was caught on the last cast, of my last trip, of what was already my best trophy bass fishing year of my life (I had already caught 21 double digit bass that year) So, talk about icing on the cake !

and 4) because I won a check for $5500 dollars for the catch, from the Big Bass Record Club :) Nice pay day, for a poor guy that fishes too much, and doesn't work enough :)

Peace,

Fish

PS, here's my second biggest, 15.6..... but much more recent, and so it's a much better photo....
