rowyourboat Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 any one use them? ive never tried them. do they have a more subtle action like a rogue for more eratic like an x-rap? Quote
Super User Hi Salenity Posted February 20, 2014 Super User Posted February 20, 2014 They aren't a bad bait for the money, I'd say they fish similar to a pointer. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted February 20, 2014 Super User Posted February 20, 2014 I use them, they are decent. Stock hooks suck, but they suspend well when I change them to my preferred replacement hook.... That's been a problem with other jerkbaits I have used. Quote

That's been a problem with other jerkbaits I have used. This. The original hooks are not good but that can be said about most lures fresh off the rack.... I really like them when fishing cold water or lathargic bass. They have a great suspending action that'll wake up some slow moving bass. Quote
Super User CWB Posted February 21, 2014 Super User Posted February 21, 2014 Stock hooks seemed pretty sharp and stout to me but I did change them out to Gammy inline MagicEyes. Seems to balance the bait better. Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted February 21, 2014 Super User Posted February 21, 2014 They're a lot wider bait than the Pointer, or the Rogue, and they don't have any of the rogue roll at all. The thing that I've found with the KVD, too, is that you can work them very quickly or with slow pulls. About the only other bait out there that will do that is a 110. Quote
