Super User Jrob78 Posted February 18, 2014 Super User Posted February 18, 2014 Custom rod built on a NFC HM blank with a 2014 Steez LTD SV TN. 1 Quote
bootytrain Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Calais DC and Shimano/Jackall Poison Ultima 1 Quote
Super User Tywithay Posted February 18, 2014 Super User Posted February 18, 2014 I'd buy a Steez Limited SV and another Edge Mag Bass, or a Shimano Antares HG and Megabass Destroyer Phase III. Quote
Brian Needham Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 already have it: Dobyns DX paired with a Core 50. anything more expensive is wasting money, LOL. 1 Quote
Garret88 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 already have it: Dobyns DX paired with a Core 50. anything more expensive is wasting money, LOL. I have this too. I dont think I really want anything else. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted February 18, 2014 Super User Posted February 18, 2014 I've never looked at expensive rods or reels. What would be the point? Would have to do some research. Seems like a lot of people like their Megabass rods. DC reels are loved by many, but I'd probably lean towards one of the very high end Daiwas.. Quote
Grantman83 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Can I just customize a rare reel ( actually in the process with pics to follow)? Otherwise, I would have to go the megabass way with a zonda reel and nrx rod. Already have a bunch of customized reels and dx's but no boat. That's probably where my money should go Quote
John G Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I would buy a Shimano Antares DC7-LV and match it up with a Shimano Poison Glorious rod. 1 Quote
mjseverson24 Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Quantum tour MG, with a shimano cumara. or the same reel with falcon cara t7 micro... not the most expensive combo, but its very nice and light, looks like a joy to fish with... Mitch Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted February 19, 2014 Super User Posted February 19, 2014 Pretty much what I always do. I might make exception, but I doubt it. I do like my Metanium reels... Quote
Jaiden Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Core 100MG7 on a DX 744C. Next setup will hopefully be similar to this... Quote
Jigs 4 Pigs Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 I'd buy a Megabass Destroyer Phase III. I would have to go the megabass way with a zonda reel ^^^ What these guys said!!! Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 19, 2014 Super User Posted February 19, 2014 Money no object? Custom rod to my specs. The reel? Let's just say a lot of my money would end up in Japan. 1 Quote
bass1980 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Megabass reel, megabass rod, megabass lure....do they make megabass fishing line? Sadly money is an object but one day........ Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted February 19, 2014 Super User Posted February 19, 2014 Megabass reel, megabass rod, megabass lure....do they make megabass fishing line? Sadly money is an object but one day........ Yes, but get something good. Not Megabass. Kureha or something in that class. (R18 is decent, but there's better...) Quote
bmlum415 Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Hmm, dobyns zayta 754(I know they're not out yet, I've seen and felt them and they are worth the wait) with a shimano Antares hg or a daiwa steez ltd sv tn. 2 Quote
prjavelin Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 If money was not a problem I would buy an ugly stick 6' spinning ML paired with a zebco and 20 pound vanish fished with the guides up like a baitcaster Quote
ZhouNi Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 zebco 33 with a 10lb of on the end lol Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted February 19, 2014 Super User Posted February 19, 2014 Tough question, but if money were no problem, then I wouldn't stop at one rig. I'd get all new stuff. Quote
