Sorry to here, it really sucks that beloved pets in the grand scheme of things are not with us for all that long.

It's a sad day when one of our "best friends" passes away. I am so glad

you have other dogs to help ease the pain.

The best people I know are dogs!  God's special creations!  Three buried in the back yard under trees,  Every one lived out their special lives in our home!  We have three right now, one of them 10 years old.  They definitely do NOT live long enough!

How can we continually do this to ourselves?

Right - unconditional love

Bruno: 1967-1980 - literally grew up with him...I was 7 when we got him, I was 20 when we lost him.

Sara: 1990-1997 - got her from the Humane Society when she was 8..a lady in all aspects of the word.

Tawnie: 1995-2008 - another rescue dog, she was a cute little puppy of 10 weeks old when we got her.

Maia: 2005-2019 - Nora's 'snuggle bunny', Maia's favorite place was cuddled up next to 'mom' on the couch.

Absolutely devastating, been there many times.

Dog lovers feel the pain but find some comfort from providing a loving home and comfort for man's best friend.

It's obvious you provided and loved a dear friend...... much respect.

Lost 5 loving pets during my 72 years, and NO...it doesnt get any easier!!!  In fact it probably gets harder!

Our current baby has quite a few years left ( hopefully) but when it is her time, this one just might take me with her....she has been the best by far!!

A-Jay, this has always been hard for me. I get so attached to my dogs, it really tears me up when they're gone. Hope things work out as best they can.

It’s so painful.  It’s the main reason we haven’t gotten another dog since our Weimaraner had to be put down.  I’m just not ready to go through it again. So sorry.
