Has anybody had any success on Santa Fe or Lochloosa? Any tips?

Lake Lochloosa is a historic trophy water, during the heyday of the Withlacoochie Backwaters and Salt Run Springs, Lake George.

Since that time however, Orange Lake has stolen the show from Lake Lochloosa. Unfortunately, sinkhole activity

put a big hurt on the Orange Lake bass fishery, where lake levels have yet to return to normal.

Lake Lochloosa remains a fair to good bass lake, but as far as I know it's better known today for its crappie fishing.

the water in Loosa is up where it was pre drought days. the drought decimated Loosa and bass fishing is spotty at best.It is starting to give up a few fish as the water starts to warm.

Santa Fe is heatin up. a buddy caught a 10+ last week.  Santa Fe is a tough lake to figure out and frustrating to many, .personally i love the lake as it has it all.  .It frustrates me also but i have caught more bass over 5 lbs. than any other lake i fish. mainly because its 30 min. away

fish are moving up now in the grass and canals.if you put in at little lake ramp i would fish grass and docks to the right of ramp coming out.uv speedworm w/ 1/16 weight swam thru and around grass and around and under docks..in big lake go to west side and trap just outside grass line and fish worms in the grass.

I have either great days or terrible days at Santa Fe. I went to Loc once and I am never going back. Weeds are impossible to fish in or navigate in. I'm all set with that mess.

I'm going to be heading out to Santa Fe this weekend. Finishing up some mid term exams and It's time for golf and fishing for spring break.

Here is a vid I took of Santa Fe late summer of last year. Maybe the bit will be heated up and make for a better vid lol.
