i have favorite brands that i use for most techniques but have never settled on a favorite lipless crank.  to be honest ive used pretty much whatever and that has worked out fairly well.  i like the lucky craft baits and use them for a lot of other things but am not sure that it is worth the extra $$ in this application.  maybe im jsut not good enough with lipless cranks but i just cant tell that much difference.  plain old rattle traps have also worked fine for me although they seem fairly cheaply made and need hook changing out (which aside from lucky craft).  ive also had good luck with the rattlin rapalas and like them fairly well.

anyways, what are you guys favorites?

I use Rapala Rattlin Raps the most. I have some Rat-L-Traps, but I have far more success with Rapala.

Rat-L-Traps have been good to me, the don't cost a fortune, even after changing out the hooks, so I stick with them. I have a few Rattlin Raps, but rarely use them......don't know why? Probably just have more confidence in the traps.

I have had a lot of success with the Cordell Super Spots (cheaper than rat-l-traps and you don't have to change hooks.)  I also really like the new Strike King red eye shad.

I like the Cordell Spot as well. I have a mixed box of Spots and Traps. Can't find any Strike King's local, might order a couple.

I like and use many brands, but the Yo-Zuri Rattlin' Vibe is probably my favorite.

Me too!

The Lucky Craft LV-Max-500 is a close second and probably my favorite lure to cast. With the wind to your back,  75+ yards is possible.

I use the Rattlin' Raps and Rat-L-Traps equally as far as I can tell.  I've had success with both.  It seems like I"ve been reading more on this forum in the last few months about people's success with the Yo-zuri Rattlin' Vibe.  I'm thinking about trying these out this year.

Last spring I had a lot of luck on the rattlin rapala.. but after a recent trip to bass pro shops I picked up a couple of yo-zuri harcore drums and the excalibur lipless crankbait... GREAT LURES.   I have not gotten the chance to catch to many fish yet this year with these lures but just bringing them through the water is great... they can be retreived as slow or as fast as you want and they have super loud rattles great for any kind of reaction bite or for muddy or stained water!!! I'd say my favorite is the yo-zuri!

i like the the BPS XPS homers tri vibe.the colors are very realistic an it looks like its made well...an o yea the  most important thing is it catches fish

ive been looking at the yo zuri and the different shape that they had made me nervous and i havent got any yet.  clearly that was poor judgement as everyone seems to love them.  ok they are on the shopping list now.

I liked the early ninties Diamond Shad by Strike King.  It was different (and better) than today's version.  I also love Yo Zuri's Rattlin Vibe...

Yo Zuri and XCalibur. I never cared for the Rat L Trap because the paint/foil would come off so easy. Now they are trying to fix that issue.

i also love the rapala rattlin rapalas....either the bluegill color or the red crawdad.....about 120 of my 200 fish last year were with the rattlin rapalas
