jiggz125 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hey Guys, I got a GoPro Hero 3+. I was wondering if anyone has used one for fishing, how they used them and what adapters they recommend. I figure it will be getting the head mount and chest mount, it came with the water-proof housing. I am excited to start capturing the fish I catch and documenting each one. Quote
JeziHogg Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 You can strap it to the handle of your net right infront of the basket to get some cool shots. Quote
Super User AK-Jax86 Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 I use the head mount but I have frequent look around syndrome so when I watch the playback I get dizzy lol. I have been fishing on my buddy's boat lately I am trying to make a good mount for the boat. I use the handle bar mount an attach it on a pole to get underwater shots that works really well. When I am on the bank I use that and stick it in the ground to get footage of me fishing. I don't have the chest mount but I heard most people don't like it. You just got to mess around with a few things until you find what works for you, that's what I am doing. Quote

Super User geo g Posted February 18, 2014 Super User Posted February 18, 2014 I have seen some high speed runs that were exceptional. They had a home made camera mount on the rear seat post. Quote
Super User WIGuide Posted February 20, 2014 Super User Posted February 20, 2014 I just got one for Christmas and have been reading up on them. The possibilities are pretty much endless on how and where you want to mount them. The great thing about the Hero 3+ having the built in wifi is that you can preview your cameras view right on your phone so you can check to make sure you're getting what you want before you even start recording. I look forward to seeing some sweet vids! Quote
