On the vid Ike said he was using a black and blue one. The one in the pics looks like a Sexy Shad type sceme. Was this the same one he used the whole tourney?

The deep diver (first pic) isn't black/blue, which he didn't have success with during practice, but the shallow diver is black/blue (second pic). That's the one he used during the Classic.

So it is interesting Ike caught fish on the Laser Lure but it doesn't prove anything.  Maybe he could have caught them on a normal crank as well.  Cranks are usually reaction bites I don't think the bass gives cranks a lot of consideration before striking.

Does your camera have a special lens that chnages black/blue to their spicy shad color, or did you just not get a pic of the black/blue one?   I know I ain't the smartest person but the lures in those two pictures look to be the exact same color.

I am not cheapskate...but $20.00 for a new un-tested bait???

It looks alot like a Lucky Craft, so minus the laser, I would probably go with LCs for right now or for the shallow cranks, a Manns minus. I'll keep an eye on IKE and see how he does with them. :(

I got the shallow diver and popper in mail today. Threw the shallow diver for an hour around sunset and only nailed one fish on it. Not a huge fan on it yet, guessing one of my rc 1.5's might have outfished it today. The bill  and hooks appear a little cheap to me. Time will tell....

I was at the classic and the talk around their was that laser lure paid them two alot of money for the classic in upwards of 100,000 dollars a piece so they would say that they were using the bait. I also talked to a dealer that said that for 15 dollars the bait does not even run true.

This may very well be the single most blatantly stupid thing I've ever seen posted on this forum. Glenn, who was there, said he was using the bait. He posted pictures of the guy's rods, with the baits attached, and you say something like this? Grow up.

I believe that IKE was paid to throw the Laser.....I believe he caught fish on them...I believe that he could catch fish with a piece of string, a saftey pin, and a peanut butter cracker. The proof will be in the pudding...do they REALLY work?? Time will tell. If they don't, I don't think any pro with and morals would throw them and get others to buy them.

As I said earlier, I checked IKE's website, and Laser is NOT listed as a sponsor. This could have definately been a one time thing for the classic...and a BRILLIANT marketing move.

I dont think IKE is the type that would support a bait if he didnt believe in it.... Im sure it catches fish but does the laser have anything to do with catching these fish or is it just the wobble of the crank?  Thats the real question..

P.S.  Bassnajr LOVE the new aviator and quote hahaha Great show

Lol.  I really love the fact that people are putting this next to the flying lure and helicopter lure.  I am not sponsored by them, so I don't have to sell one bait.  If you wouldn't mind, please don't use this bait so the next time I am fishing a tournament against you, I have a serious advantage!!!!

i talked to Boyd Duckett and I know hes sponsored by Lazer Lure but he seems like a trust worthy kinda guy. And he says that the lAzer lures are really great quality baits that'll help you catch more fish. now thats not a direct quote but thats basically the jist of what he said.

It's not a laser, its a red LED.

That is incorrect.  Their site states that what sets these apart from the other lighted lures is that it IS a laser beam and NOT an LED.

As far as the pros saying they used the lure and got paid for it---that's what they call a sponsorship!!

I have never used these and I am sceptical, but I do think the lure would catch fish without the laser in it, but the real question is whether or not the laser makes it better than a normal crank.

If you don't want to spend 20 dollars you can get them a couple bucks cheaper at blackwatersportscenter.com

plus free shipping over 75 dollars. I just placed an order with them and the guy there said he just got to try the laser lure last week and had quick results with it. He was pretty fond of it but I'll be sure and post what I think of them after i try them out this week!  ;D :(

Threw it for an hour at sunset tonight and nailed three more fish. The water clarity in my lake cleared significantly from last week and the fish were a little more active with the coming full moon.  I am starting to believe in this lure. Strong suggest swap out hooks.

I found them on ebay between $10-$15 with free shipping and ordered a SD Shad just to try it out when it gets a little warmer here in IL.

Like some of you here, I made the assumption that this was a gimmick so this is my first time even reading through the thread.  The quality of this lure sounds good.  The hooks are Mustad.  I'm really intrigued now especially after reading Senko77's comments.

IF the light is a lazer and it projects a beam like a lazer, then the light it emits will be reflected off whatever surface it is aimed. So if the lazer attracts bass, it will attract the bass to the projected beam and not the lure.

IF the light is a lazer and the beam is prevented from being projected and just shines on the inside of the lure, then it may as well be a LED and is no different than the other red LED lures.

The statement about pets chasing the red lazer light is correct, they chase the reflected beam, not the light source. That pretty much shoots a hole in the marketing statements.

Ok guys, I will get a couple and give 'em a try.

I just spent my Outdoors Rewards $180 on baits so I will save some pennies and dimes and try to locate this bait.

I will let you all know how it performs.

The Bait Monkey will be happy.  ;D  ;D   ;D

Which types in what colors were you using? Was it clear or stained water?
