Hi there, I live in Metairie and just trying to meet new local members. I'm restricted to bank fishing at the moment but hoping to get a boat soon.

OK Phil, welcome to the Forums.

Here is the NOLA drill:

What high school did you go to or attend?

Who is your mother and is she from NOLA?

What is your favorite Mardi Gras Parade?

Where do you do your redfish fishing?

What is the size of the biggest crab you got crabbing?

Fish Audubon Park lagoon or City Park Lagoon?

LSU or Toolame?

If Toolame then all the best and good luck.

If LSU ask your questions and we will all chip in to give you our answers.

Just one old guy who grew up in NOLA, attended Fortier when we were the Tarpons, rode in Sparta for years, and now lives in Richmond, Virginia.

Haha... Thanks.

I grew up in Mississippi. Endymion is my favorite parade but this year I'm going to chambers lake on Alabama to go bass fishing for mardi gras instead.

I fish in city park although it's been bad lately. I like to do my redfishing in dularge. I don't have a boat so I'm restricted. Haven't been crabbing here but when I lived in Ms we would set our traps out then go check them after school each day.

Great! And of course you are a Fighting Tigers fan.

Not many places to fish in NOLA sorry to say. Audubon Park lagoon has always been better than City Park lagoon but both are challenging.

Good move going fishing on March 4th in lieu of Mardi Gras. However Mardi Gras in Metairie is for the family and not like the French Quarter Mardi Gras atmosphere.

Endymion is one of my favorite parades, too. My nephews rides in it.

All the best for some fun Louisiana fishing and eating.
