5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 When the classic is on and running, can the locals fish with or near the pros? Quote
Dyerbassman Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I don't believe that the lake is off limits, but you'd have to be a real a$$**** to try fishing next to the Classic anglers. Watch and learn, but don't steal their thunder. Just my opinion. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 True that!!! I figured the same. Quote
5 Dollar Fishing Game Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 I remember last year I saw on the tv an episode of the classic launch. There were boaters everywhere at the launch. I was thinking, "I wonder if these boaters are bothered by all the people in the way". I mean there were about 50+ people gathered around. Quote
gripnrip Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The Classic is on public waters. The pros can't claim public waters. There have been instances where people pull up after they leave and fish or people are on their spot fishing when then show up. Although I do not agree with it, people don't care about anything but themselves these days. 1 Quote
jhoffman Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Im sorry but I would get an absolute chuckle if some knucklehead was able to sack up about 25lbs on day one and sneak into the weigh in.... Super User WRB Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 It's not that uncommon that locals fish during a Classic and it has had an impact. The pros honor each others spot most of the time, not always. You would think good sportsmanship would rule the day...... Tom 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 I fished SML in VA a few years back during an Elite event. I ran into a few pros fishing - no biggie. That lake had plenty of room for everyone. I know there were other local tournaments as well. Quote
Basswhippa Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 KVD or someone like him will win because they will hit 100 spots a day to avoid the fisherman taking advantage of any mega school. They will save mega school fish until the last day. Quote
Super User Grizzn N Bassin Posted February 21, 2014 Super User Posted February 21, 2014 I would follow and watch. Quote
