I tried to do a search and couldn't really find exactly what I was wanting to know. I would like everyones opinion on what is the best casting floro line. Also any input on how abrasion resistant the line is. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have used several different fluoro's over the past few years.  I put them in order from my most favorite to least favorite.

Sunline Sniper 8lb: I don't have a lot of time on the water with this line but so far I really like it.  It casts and handles great, very low memory, doesn't seem to stretch very much, and is rather abrasion resistant.

Trilene XL Pro Fluoro 8lb:  Like Sunline Sniper, I don't have a ton of time on the water with it.  Very similar to Sunline Sniper for $5-$6 less for the same lb test.  The only noticeable difference between the 2 is that the Trilene seems to have a little more memory and maybe a hair less abrasion resistance but its difficult to really see the difference.

XPS 8lb and 12lb: handles and casts well, abrasion resistant, but it gets memory quicker then some line at the same price point.  I have it on a casting reel and feel for the price its hard to beat since it goes on sale very regularly.

Sunline Super Fluoro 12 lb: good abrasion resistance, lots of memory very quick, casting distance seemed to suffer some.  It's ok, I doubt I would use it again for a main line.

Seaguar InvizX 8lb: casts and handles well, very low memory, very low abrasion resistance, a TON of stretch.  I won't use it again.

The best casting fluoro I've found is Seaguar Invisx. What you get in casting ability and handling, you give up stretch and abrasion resistance. Most lines that are abrasion resistant don't cast nearly as well. Finding a good balance is the key to me. The best I've found, hands down, is Tatsu; it's nearly perfect. Sniper is pretty good in all those categories. Shooter is very good with the abrasion resistance and stretch, but it's pretty stiff; this also gives it greater sensitivity.

What do you value the most? Casting ability? Stretch? Abrasion resistance? Sensitivity?

I value cast ability and abrasion resistance the most, followed by the stretch factor....

Does no one like the seagar red label. I know it's cheaper but I have had absolutely no problems with it. I have it on most of my reels and have caught a lot of fish with it.

I use it, love it, never had any problems.

x2. Great price and a decent line. A little KVD ll helps silk it up.

Baitcasting or spinning and # test used?

Tatsu > Sunline FC Sniper > InvizX

Based purely on casting? then Tatsu > InvizX > Sunline FC Sniper

Tatsu and InvizX have similar casting and handling characteristics. However, Tatsu seems to lay a little flatter and casts slightly better in my observations. Adding abrasion resistance and overall line quality FC sniper clearly has the edge over InvizX in my use.

Is Tatsu the best there is or are the Japanese keeping the really good stuff over there?

Toray has some good stuff overseas. Megabass Dragoncall is extremely good, better than Tatsu, but it's about $50 after shipping so I'd never recommend it.
