Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 He's just mad hes stuck in Cali and can't be in Bama with the beautiful country women. Where we also still have common sense laws and the best college football teams in the country. I would be mad too homie. I personally enjoy this new Redline. Thanks pal. And yes, there are plenty of things I don't agree with about CA, but there's also plenty to like here as well. I'm a fan of Mizzou, one of my friends played there that now plays for the 49ers. I went back to his home town a few years back and have to tell you, if I could convince the wife to move there I probably would. As far as beautiful country women, I wouldn't know. I'm happily married to a GREAT woman. Why the hell she married my ugly mug is beyond me. I'm the same guy I've always been. Lately I feel there's a lot more camaraderie on this site, which is great. Oh, and Raider Nation, camaraderie means 'friendship amongst people that spend time together'. 5 Quote

Oh, and Raider Nation, camaraderie means 'friendship amongst people that spend time together'. I can honestly think of a lot of things to like about California. (That don't involve Marijuana) Its somewhere I have always wanted to visit. Especially Northern California, and Eastern California. Pretty much anywhere that isn't massive city. Always been a dream to go to Oakland too. Especially during the fall. I will agree with you on the camaraderie on here as of late. Kinda cool when you get right down to it. Now come on and go to the road trip this year. I'll even bring you some squirrel wings. Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 When I was there I couldn't outweigh the bad with the good Giant bass, big freaking bears, big pigs, possibly big deer, plus freaking mountain goats!!! What's not to like about that?! I ain't never hunted a mountain goat before. I need one for the entry way wall in the house we are about to get. I also need a bear to put in the den. We don't have bears of the brown variety in these parts. I will even bring my own lead free Barnes Copper bullets for the occasion. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 When I was there I couldn't outweigh the bad with the good then you were in the wrong spots.....I have been all over the country and the only place i like as much if not a touch better than the places in CA is yellowstone. Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 16, 2014 Author Super User Posted February 16, 2014 I've lived in a big city, and will probably never do that again. We've settled down to a nice little town with history back to the 1700's. We love it here. The fishing here can be spectacular, when there's water. I hope this drought ends soon! This place is special. Funny, I come here more often now that I haven't had time to fish than before when I did have more time to fish... Quote

Spot isn't the issue, it was the people/mentality and all the nickel and diming. Many other things but I won't get into it. Much happier on the east coast Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 I'd move to California today if my wife were agreeable..........she isn't. Southern Ca for me, close to Baja. Delray is swelling with population, lots of building going on. At dinner yesterday we talked about renting our home for 3 months and going elsewhere for the winter next season. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 16, 2014 Author Super User Posted February 16, 2014 I don't think you'll find a better winter place than FL. If your concern is surging construction, most of CA has that issue as well. Quote
Super User Oregon Native Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 I personally love fishing the Delta and the Norther Cali lakes. If I had to live there it would probably be on the Northern coast somewhere. Love the big trees and clear lakes not to far. Hope you all get some water and snow Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 16, 2014 Author Super User Posted February 16, 2014 We went salmon fishing on the Klamath last year. Hired a Yurok Indian guide, and we had an absolute blast. Quote
dave Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I go for business once a year for three days. Fly into LAX drive to Oxnard. Quote
