SnazzySenko Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I usually bring a sandwich while I'm on long fishing trips. I'm looking for some new ideas to explore, a sandwich is getting too repetitive and boring. What do you guys eat while fishing? Quote

Yeah i have had that happen but once i found out what was causing it, the double espresso shot starbucks drinks, i have been good. And it is pretty much a given that if i am out all day i am hanging out over the edge of the yak to drop a deuce at least once That is really the primary reason anyone should be concerned with stability in a kayak 1 Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 Wawa hoagies are where it's at. Amen brother, Amen....i was so psyched when they finally came down here to VA. I grew up eating them and took them for granted when i moved for college. Quote
reb67 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Nabs and single sever chips lots of choices Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 i find it interesting how many people here are posting things like jerky that are loaded with salt and take a ton of water to digest which makes pretty much everything you drink not used for hydration. Quote
Tartan34 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Krave Black Cherry Pork Jerky, Peanut Butter Cliff bars, and loads of water. Warning....eating Krave Jerky ruined Jack Links for me....and I would hammer down a couple of bags. I can't eat it anymore, Krave is that good. Quote

RAMBLER Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Vienna sausage, peanut butter cheese crackers, peanuts, payday bar, nutrigrain fruit bars, water and coffee. Wow, looks like a lot when I write in down. No wonder I'm not hungry when I get home. Quote

I wouldn't be able to hold it! lol Also I stopped eating Vienna sausages after I read the article on the cancer causing stuff in it and other "sausage" products. Eating one sausage a day increases your chances by 20%. I'm sure it's not just one sausage but I does increase the chances. Quote
bmac31 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Breakfast sanwich on my way ro lake. Water and Gatorade are always on hand. I always bring something to eat if its gonna be a long day.it always changes. Could be a sandwich and chips, sunflower seeds or jerky a bagel or donuts, cold pizza etc. Aslong as it fits in my lil lunchbox. Quote

I think you are referring to the sodium nitrite and sodium nitrate in processed meats....but wait a few weeks and a new study will come out and refute this claim too 2 Quote
Super User RoLo Posted February 16, 2014 Super User Posted February 16, 2014 I'm lucky because I prepare the boat and tackle, while my wife prepares the lunches. She'll usually bring some combination of meatball sandwiches, baked chicken, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, hard boiled eggs and a small cooler filled with drinks. Roger 1 Quote

Also, I find it hard that the study can accurately say 20% more likely to get cancer. 1 Quote
