st041986 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 As a kid I played a game called Trophy Bass 2 for windows 98 a lot. I still have the discs and can still get it to run in a Windows XP virtual machine. I was playing it last month and saw a camera icon I had never clicked on. I clicked on it and up pops a fishing tip video from 1996 Kevin Van Dam. Pretty funny seeing how young he was. I played the crap out of that game. Heck I remember even winning some free games and baits in some online tournaments. Bassins Black Bass is my favorite for the SNES. On the Genesis, I played King Salmon Fishing a lot. I never could get past the last level where your goal was to catch a 100+ lbs king salmon. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 Yep! Same here. Was playing it earlier. http://www.snesfun.com/game.php?id=105 d**n you for sharing this!! LOL 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 I like the "Video game" played while actually fishing. Picking off deep marked bass with a drop shot is pretty cool. A-Jay 1 Quote
jhoffman Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Remember on NES Black Bass when that whopper would hit and it would take you 1.5 hours to reel him in. Every time you tried to reel it was the line tension through the roof. 9 out of 10 times you hooked him you lost him. Quote
TrapperJ Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I tried Let's Fish Hooked on! on my Vita a while back its not bad for a newer fishing game. if you can get it cheap i recommend it for some handheld fishing. Similar to the classic Sega Bass Fishing. Quote
Fabricator Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Nintendo Black Bass Xbox 360 Minecraft and rapala Mostly play on the ipad now, BPS fishing game, and saltwater kings. I fish therefore I rarely play a fishing video game, mostly racing sims, like Forza 5 and iRacing Quote

Zach Dunham Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 SUPER BLACK BASS on SNES. Also, I LOVED those hand held fishing games where you actually had to set the hook physically. Quote

Super User scaleface Posted April 6, 2015 Super User Posted April 6, 2015 My BottomLine depth finder had a video game built into it. A scuba diver shooting sharks, I guess it was meant to keep kids entertained when they got bored with fishing . Quote

BooyahMan Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Trophy Bass 3D and Rapala Pro Fishing were my favourites! Oh, and also Reel Fishing 2, 3, and Wild. and Championship Bass. And Big Ol' Bass 2 (the one with crazy fictional fish). And (obscure fishing game alert!) Killer Bass. Yeah...I loved fishing games when I was a kid. Collected every one that I saw. Quote

Topwater98 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 This is the game I played this winter. https://www.fishao.com/?ref=CodyRapala&affId=423. It's called fishao. It isn't bass fishing but I like it. Quote
Slefler Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 "Reel Fishing" for PS1. It came with a fishing remote that vibrated when you caught a fish. It was very much a simulation - no annoying voices or graphics - sometimes you'd go 10 or 15 minutes without a bite. I still have it somewhere and have threatened to hook it all back up more than once. Hands down. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reel_Fishing_(video_game) I played the first one until the disc burnt then I got the second one lol. Quote
hatrix Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The very best is Sega Bass Fishing for Dreamcast. Black Bass for original NES is also great and a classic. There are a couple good ones for SNES also. Quote
