My wife cried when she read the card I hand wrote and attached to the flowers that I had sent to her work today. I say mission accomplished! I also see new fishing tackle in my future with little to no fussing from my wonderful bride...its a win win lol.

Ha....that always seems to work. I love win-win situations.

My wife got a 2-hour massage at a spa near our house and a "handwritten" card from our 7-month-old baby girl.

For some reason she didn't get upset when I told her I was thinking my budget of $50 for new tackle this spring should cover things.

I can honestly say I didn't plan it that way, but I'm sure it didn't hurt my case any. :)

I just went with flowers since I sprung for a 2k necklace for Xmas and almost done paying off her 6k engagement ring. Our dating anniversary is 4th of July so I'm proposing then. So a 50.00 vase of flowers and card will have to suffice and lunch and dinner of course. Needless to say she has no issues with me buying tackle lol

I gave a funny card and a $25 McDonalds gift card.

She loves those frappes from McDonalds.

Am I romantic or what?

I got mine a Belgian waffle maker  :laugh5:   She loves Belgian waffles and was happy with it so that's all that matters right?

we had already bought our gifts for each-other a few weeks ago, I got a new rod and reel combo, and she got a purse. On our way to dinner last night she says why don't we stop and go to Cabelas for a while... I couldn't have agreed more. (She is definitely a keeper)...
