Super User Catch and Grease Posted August 13, 2014 Super User Posted August 13, 2014 I still watch NASCAR and like it, but I'm gonna have to agree with roadwarrior... Its a sport built around cheating. NASCAR is about who can cheat the most without getting caught haha Quote

NASCAR is about who can cheat the most without getting caught haha That's true. They try to tell us that NASCAR was founded by Bill France Sr. in 1948. That's not true. He bought the rights to what was already known as the National Stock Car Racing Association (NSCRA), which was founded in 1929 by Red Vogt. That specific idea of an organized stock car racing league was created by Vogt. France, with financial help from Raymond Parks, took control of the operation and pushed both Vogt and Parks to the side while "his" NASCAR took the country by storm. Since then, the governing body has been a regime by the France Family with little to no credit given to Vogt or Parks. So yes, it is a sport definitely built around cheating. Quote
