Im trying to lighten the boat load of plastics i carry. It seems creatures are my biggest (bait monkey)flaw. Im carrying Beavers, RageCraws, Smokkin Roosters, Space Monkeys, Lake Fork Creatures and a brushhog type bait. Im sure I can eliminate a few things here. How many different creature do most of you guys carry?

All of them and looking for more!

You NEED Bobby's MegaBug in

several colors, too!

Too many.  Creatures are the easiest soft plastic to get carried away with because there's a huge selection of different styles.

Two. Beavers, and Paca Craws.  Both in a couple colors, and a couple sizes. One with alot of action, one more subtle..............works for me.

Three - Super Hogs, Beavers and Space Monkeys. Basically, one with subtle action, one that's slightly less subtle due to ribbed design and wider body, and one with lots of action and water displacement.

Couple of colors of Beavers and the same with Brush Hogs, maybe 6 packs total. I just restock the boat after each trip.

I hate sorting through to much tackle to find stuff.

Hogs, Space Monkeys, Chiggers, Beavers, Rooster, and my personal favorite...KREATURE (GYCB)

I carry a few.  Mostly yamamoto kreatures and some knock offs of it and then beaver style baits.

Creature baits are definitely my weak spot. It seems to me no two creatures are the same. Hence the necessity to have them all. I prob have about 10+ creatures and a few diff colors of each.

I don't know, bud, it kinda sounds like you need all those baits. Just cut down on the number of each bait you carry, but never the number of different styles of baits.

During the spring time I only carry 2 kinds.  Brush hogs and of course you cannot forget about Lizards.  Lizards on beds is a strike waiting to happen.

2 or 4. I dont really consider the Sweet Beaver a creature bait, but I saw it mentioned on the lists above. Same goes for the Paca Craw. So I carry Brush Hogs and Zipper Monkey Bugs. I have all that other "stuff", but the bottom line is, the oldies but goodies still catch big fish. Ive learned that I just dont need to anchor the boat down with 20 different creature baits, I wont throw em all anyway. Carry your confidence baits and fish em. I do have 2 colors of a custom bait in my boat at all times, but I wont talk about them. :(

It's almost all I fish with.....Creature baits are by far my favorites.65% of my tackle is probably creature baits.

Only one, Gene Larew's HooDaddy.

Yep. I carry a couple of sizes of Brush Hogs in two colors and lizards mostly in black.

Edit: I got a couple of packs of Rage Tails for Christmas, green pumpkin and Bama craw, so I'll be adding those to my arsenal this spring.
