Super User Scott F Posted February 14, 2014 Super User Posted February 14, 2014 Up here in the frozen part of the country, I spend a few hours each evening in front of the TV. My favorite show on TV has to be The Big Bang Theory. Very funny, and well written. Along with Barney Fife and Ed Norton, Sheldon Cooper has to be one of the best characters that's ever been on a comedy. In dramas, Elementary, the modern day Sherlock Holmes series is really good and I like Mad Men (when it's on). In reality shows, I like American Pickers which is funny because I'm not a collector and I don't care anything about antiques but they are nice guys who buy "guy" stuff. The only fishing show I record is one that is probably only seen in the upper midwest. John Gillespies Waters and Woods. John gets over the top excited when someone gets a good fish which annoys a lot of viewers, but John puts out a new show every week. He films at locations mostly around Wisconsin during the week using local guides, edits it and has it on the air that Saturday. Mostly ice fishing during the winter, but he fishes a lot of the same waters I do for whatever is biting that week. What shows do you make sure not to miss? Quote

Super User Felix77 Posted February 14, 2014 Super User Posted February 14, 2014 Besides fishing shows it the Walking Dead and Agents of Shield right now. Quote
dave Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Big Bang Theory (their isn't character that could be left out, all are perfectly placed), The original Two and a Half Men, Family Guy, The Andy Griffith Show. The comparison of Barney Fife and Sheldon Cooper is spot on. I'd add Kozmo Kramer from Seinfeld to that group. 1 Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 14, 2014 Super User Posted February 14, 2014 Antiques Roadshow Ancient Aliens American Pickers. I don't care for the little chubby guy. There's making a reasonable offer and insulting someone. He seems to like insulting people. America Unearthed Boardwalk Empire Boss. That was a very well written, INTELLIGENT show. I still don't understand why it was canceled. Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted February 14, 2014 Super User Posted February 14, 2014 Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Pawn Stars, and American Pickers are the shows I try not to miss. I almost never missed the Tonight show when Johnny Carson was the host, but when Jay Leno took over I lost interest in it. Quote
