Super User Teal Posted February 12, 2014 Super User Posted February 12, 2014 That's the question. I know we all fish, but do any of you guys make time for other sports? I play softball 7 months of the year and play basketball with my church men's team. I havent play golf in a while, but I will every once in a while. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted February 13, 2014 Super User Posted February 13, 2014 Used to do a heck of a lot more than I do now. Soccer, mountain biking, tennis were my primary sports. Today, sadly, I'm more of a couch potato. Well, computer desk potato, actually. Kayaking these days is what gets me outdoors. As for soccer, it's coaching on occasion. I watch ESPN all the time, though. That's gotta count for something! Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted February 13, 2014 Super User Posted February 13, 2014 Why am I picturing a cross between Ted Nugent and Arnold? More like Ted Nugent and a bald Meatloaf now. I injured myself last spring, and am now back up to 315. I gotta get back in shape. Quote

Helluva_Engineer Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Used to play high school football and college rugby until I broke my collarbone pretty severely. Was a pretty competitive sailor at one point (nationals for laser). Have been too busy with work and the whole starting up life thing to keep that up. My main sport is now keyboard jockey. Quote

Brandon K. Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I still wrestle about every week and try to box as much as possible. Really got in to Crossfit during a deployment. I may try to do some local competitions in that. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted February 13, 2014 Super User Posted February 13, 2014 I did Crossfit last year for 6 months. I think I lost like 15 lbs. I can see how easy it would be to get hurt doing that type of training. Quote
hawgmaster Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I play football at Central College in Pella, Iowa. Absolutely love it here. Quote
etommy28 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 played almost every sport at some point in time, had a couple football offers before getting hurt my senior year of hs, now I just fish, hunt, Coach high school football and help my buddies run the occasional lacrosse, rugby or track meet. Super User Sam Posted February 17, 2014 Super User Posted February 17, 2014 I swim. Try to get in an hour a day. Considering going back to the gym for weight work. Continuing my quest to be thin and happy. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 17, 2014 Global Moderator Posted February 17, 2014 We have a free weight room at work that I sprint past to get to my truck to go home after work, does that count? I play softball once in awhile. We used to do soccer and flag football for PT at my last job. I doubt where I work now would go for that, too much potential for injuries that would result in people being on light duty. It was a lot of fun though, good way to let off steam, get some exercise, and bond with your coworkers. Always a good way to get in a cheap shot on someone that was rubbing you the wrong way too Quote
