Hi guys, as some of you may know I am 13 but I love bass  fishing. I don't have a lot of money so I am on a budget. My jonboat's motor is not doing good, so I am stuck on the bank for a little while. I am looking into making my own jig skirts. The only jig heads with weed guards are football heads. l am wanting to get some that are like a flipping or swimming jig, but I would settle for an arkie style flat head. Where can I order them from? And what is a good jig color combo for Percy Priest, since it is my home lake? I am wanting most to be a base of green pumpkin but what is a good color/s I can add to it to make it look natural? Thanks for helping me out.

There are a few people on this site who might be able to help.  Start with Siebert Outdoors who has sold me jigs in the past.  They can sell them painted without the skirt if you want.  Cadman I know also sells jigs and can probably help you out.

As for colors you cannot go wrong with these 3.

Green Pumpkin (maybe a hint of orange skirt)

Black/Blue

Peanut Butter and Jelly

If you want some ideas go to fishingskirts.com and browse their living image skirts.  Any of those will produce.

Good luck!

I agree with these guys. I just purchased some jigs from siebert outdoors. Mike from there was super helpful and the jigs look awesome. He has all my future jig business.

I have a bunch of blemished ones if you want them they are yours free. This would include some Arkies (which are brown), finesse Snooties and bunch of others in black , brown and green and all different sizes in ounces. They are not perfect as some of them have flaws, maybe a paint chip, but they are fishable and will catch fish. They do not have skirts on them either. So if that works for you then they are yours. PM me your full name and address, and I 'll send them out to you on Tuesday. Have fun and catch some fish.
