Tubes?

Looking at which brand to get. I know this is going to be very opinionated but I need people's input. I was looking at the KVD Strike King tubes. Not cause of the name. It's because it seems like an in the middle tube that I can swim or use as a flipping tube.

For LM I prefer the Reaction Innovation Boom Boom Tubes. I have a few of the Strike King tubes, but the Boom Booms catch more fish. Softer and better colors make a big difference. If you are gonna small mouth or spot fish then I have another one(actually it would also be good for LM) Search the ISG Dream Tube. The northern guys will know of them.

On the other end there are numerous choices in smaller (2 3/4" to 3 1/2") finesse tubes. Strike King's KVD Bitsy Tubes can be a killer when the bite is tough. Don't shy away from small baits. Venom makes some nice ones also.

Tubes can be rigged and fished 100 ways. There's never a day on the water I don't throw one.

Stick with natural colors like greens and browns. No need to have 10 different colors.

I use BPS Tender Tubes and Cabin Creek Critter Gitters.  I like a smaller profile on the lake I fish, I feel like the skinnier tubes get a better and bigger bite.  I have used the double dipped flipping style tubes and they are ok but I prefer the thin walls and smaller profile for tubes

Should of got the BPS flippin tube dark melon my favorite or green punkin junebug tail catches um in all water conditions.

I use the Wave Worms Tiki Tubes, they are cheap and have a solid head for rigging, these walk the dog well with a weighted hook. The other brand I use are the Zman Toobz, they last forever and float, so you can do as you want with them, topwater, or weight for subsurface walking.

I use alot of BPS flippin tubes.  For all bass.  I believe they are 4.5" long.  Pretty cheap too.

   Dont want say yes, cause Im sure they will work. But, I prefer a tube bigger for LM 4.5 to 5.5 in ling. THink 4/0 and 5/0 hooks.

NOPE! Although you are likely to catch a few more smaller ones than you wish to. Most prefer 4" and above for LM. I use the 4" big boys.

I've caught bass on their 1.5" panfish/crappie tubes already.Many of times I use the 2.75 bass teasers when I downsize for finicky bass.

Coffee Tubes are awsome. Have had some of my best days using them.

I've been using some older Yum 4" tubes that are smooth that I've had good luck on. I just use two colors. Black Neon and Watermelon/Red Flake. I like to flip them to bushes unpegged with a 3/16oz. sinker. The tube will separate from the weight once it hits the water and spiral through the bushes as long as they aren't too thick

how do you fish a tube? I have done slow rolling, and bottom fishing (pop it once every few second, then let it sit). But I have never caught a LMB on it before, then switch to a worm or crank then bites start to come in at the same spot.

I fish them like I would a jig.

I have heard that swimming them like a lipless crank works too if you push the hook eye out a little closer to the middle of the tube, provided the tube jig you use is made with a 90 degree hook.

I have become a big fan of the tubes made by Provider Tackle (Owned and operated by Art Ferguson) The 3.5" & 4" have been very good on both lmb/smb. These tubes are enhanced with a product called "X-Juice". Before using these tubes I had not heard of this scent. It's pretty pungent but it works. These baits are durable and reasonably priced with some great colors ~ "Roadkill" has taken at least one citation smb for the last three seasons.
