SmokeRise1 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 My local lake stocks 'fathead minnows' every fall as forage for our LMB, SMB and walleye population. Which color (hard body) Sebile Magic Swimmer do you think would best replicate the fatheads? Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted January 6, 2011 Super User Posted January 6, 2011 I think I would be more concerned with size than with color. Fatheads are small compared to the smallest Sebile. You may want to look elsewhere? Quote
SmokeRise1 Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Good point. I didn't know they only grow to 2-3 inches. I like the reviews on the Magic Swimmers though. I'm going to try the Perch pattern in both the 95mm and 125mm sizes. Thanks. Quote
Tuckman Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 I am a dedicated sebile swimmer fan and I have a white lady tied on 100% of the time. I have picked off smallmouth and largemouth everywhere I throw it, regardless of the dominate forage pattern...Fish are coming up on the bait and almost all baitfish have a white belly. The only factor I really consider before tossing a swimmer is water clarity. The fish have to see it, then its game over Quote
SmokeRise1 Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 OK, you talked me into it. I guess I'll have to order a White Lady too. Tuck, what size is the WL in that pic.? Quote
Tuckman Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 its a 125, its the only size I use unless I am fishing for spawners on the beds, then I use a 95 on a spinning rod alot. 8-) Quote
