crankcaster100 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 I have decided that i am going to purchase 3 St. Croix Rage Rods for my Jigs / Crankbaits / Spinnerbaits + the Daiwa Tatula to match up with my Tatula reel 1) Shimano CI4 - i hear nothing but greatness about this reel and i'm going to own it 2) Pflueger Patriarch - my first spinning reel was the Pflueger President and it was a beautiful piece and i want to give Pflueger a chance 3) ???? i have $200 - $250 available - help? now with my 4 Rod / Reel combos which Reel should be for my Jigging / Crankbaits / Spinnerbaits / Top waters? and what kind of line (i really don't want to go with Braid) - i know i'm putting Mono on the top water and the rest will be fluoro your input would be appreciated. and will be mostly fishing under 20' deep waters thanks! daiwaguy Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Jigs use a 7/8:1 High gear ratio/higher IPT and InvisX fluoro, Cranks us a 5:1 low ration/less IPT spinnerbait and topwater I would say a standard 6:1 will work just fine. Quote
